Chapter 11: Flames of Ignorance

        Nightstorm, Inferno, and Karma had gotten sight of the three riders. Among them was exactly who he had a feeling it would be, Greed. Immediately upon arrival Nightstorm hopped off his motorcycle and lashes out at Greed with his knife. Greed quickly stepped aside, dodging the attack. Greed then grabbed ahold of the hand carrying the knife and disarmed him. The two other riders were closing in on the two combatants when Inferno and Karma stepped in the way. Karma quickly grabbed one of them by the legs, proceeded to lift him up, and slammed him to the ground while Inferno traded punches and kicks with the other in what seemed in a somewhat evenly matched exchange.
      
      Nightstorm elbowed and traded punches left and right with Greed, both desperately trying to find an opening to land a devastating blow. Finally, Nightstorm landed a hard kick on the outside of Greed's thigh and followed up with an elbow which caused to lose his footing and fall down. The other Dark Riders while engaging in combat saw this and immediately ran for their motorcycles and retreated. Inferno and Karma were about to pursue them when Nightstorm said, "Leave them, they're not of priority, Greed is. Tell command we have him in custody." Karma and Inferno turned to see Nightstorm standing Greed up on his feet and putting him in cuffs.
     
       Later, they walked Greed into the Capitol Building. As they made their way to the Strategic Warfare and Threat Prevention Command Center. Awaiting inside were Kate, Jack, Luna,  and Allison. "It's good to see you again, Kate." Greed remarked with a nonchalant tone. "You've been busy Greed." Kate replied. Were it up to her, she would have just had him killed already or handed over to Jack and his team. However, he was the only one at the moment who had any idea of where Deadbolt was. "Where is Deadbolt?" Kate demanded.

     Nightstorm and Karma aggresively sat him down on a nearby chair. All you could hear was a low chuckle from Greed. "You have an interesting sense of humor for someone who just got their ass kicked." Jack told him. Greed looked up at Jack. "It's funny really, you sit around, comfortable with your large weaponry, thinking yourselves untouchable. Sitting atop what does not belong to you. Blindly disregarding your own incompetence. You actually think you've won because of my capture? No. You didn't extinguish the coming fire you merely lit the match that will bury you in flames." Greed explained with a sense of confidence in his tone. A sense of urgency filled the room. "What are you talking about? Nightstorm asked. Greed looked at Nightstorm. "You should've never buried your fallen so close." Greed remarked. It was with that statement that Allison, who was paying very close attention to the conversation, realized exactly what he was talking about.
