In my house, we usually keep the all air conditioners for survival during the hot season. So now our house is like an igloo in the insides.

As I get the picnic blanket that is 5x5 from my closet while I saw my Husky, Evan, taking a little nap to enjoy the cold. Evan is my pet who usually keeps me warm every bedtime.  He can howl for more than a minute whenever something exciting happens to us like counting the days before Christmas or surviving from Tariq. Plus, he tends to get too eager, jumpy, jolly and excited when I return to my home. He is the best friend that I can ask for and we will always stick together no matter what.

Then, I just recognized that there is no meat in the freezer, the upper part of the fridge,  but all kinds of fish and now with all the cold, the freezer is like a mini aquarium which can be seen crystal clear.

Suddenly, a small penguin popped out of nowhere when I open the bottom section of the fridge that it slid around the house like crazy. It must have been an escape from being kept in the zoo when it tried to find to cold place to be revived from the Sun. I have no choice but to name it "Penny ", because that is the first option that came in my mind. I also made it a "she", because I looked at its rear.

I had no choice but to find some precious meat from the store. So I got my bike and head there with no sweat (even though it is damn hot). As I arrived, I got an instant message from the Gucci Gang chat that Saad announced to bring their pets and I have to accept, because Mico and Tariq had raised their green flags already. I went to the frozen poultry aisle to order 4 packs of chicken wings that  there are 25 wings inside each pack and cost $3 each. The reason why I preferred chicken than beef is that we can give our leftovers, bones, to our hounds.

"Time to earn my wings!"

In our bedtime, my Evan would wrap me around while I read him a bedtime story. Also, Penny would grab my arm and wrap around her. As I closed my eyes, I could imagine being part of an arctic burrito.

Within five seconds, I found an unused and non-dusty griller and kept it in the pickup truck for full protection. When I was about to get the paper plates and plastic utensils, I found my Dalmation, Marcelina, helping me out that I smile for gratitude from my good girl. Marcelina is my one and only dalmation pup who tends to help a lot whenever she could and sometimes be clumsy that she made me giggle a li'l. As long as we got each other's backs, our friendship would grow stronger.

I also have pet blue jay, Swift, who always go full-blast around the house that there are some feathers to be swept. I usually treat my pets as my children: for Marcelina, I remind her to always use good manners to receive her food and for Swift, I ground him when he goes on an accident that I kept him inside the cage for ten days until he learns how to behave and to do it at the right timing.

As I saw the dark sky, I would go and brush my teeth with my Marcelina and put some mouth wash to have a glimmering relaxation during our sleep. For Swift, he goes and sleeps under the lampshade for company and whistles to us a lullaby.

On days like these, friends like them, should enjoy the summer.
