The darkness of the night soon came upon us. The streets that we were currently walking through were abandoned and derelict. Unfortunately, the street lamps had been broken so not a shed of light was visible apart from the moon. We were still at least a mile away from the hotel. Our plan was to sneak up to the room that Joel and I stayed in, grab the bags and go. Normally I liked to have a bit of action before escaping but this time I was too tired for a serious fight. I could tell that the others felt the same way. Especially Tristan, who seemed extra stressed in the moonlight.

We walked past a bushy area so I led the others into the shadow of a tree and we crouched in a circle to have a conversation.

"You all remember the plan, right?" I asked.

They all nodded. "Ok, anyone have any questions?"

Kira raised her hand. "Are we meeting Raven there?"

I shook my head. "No, we're meeting her and her cousins at the safe house. After that, she and I will figure out what to do next."

There was silence for a few moments before Joel spoke. "Don't you think it's weird that the Samurai just let us go like that? They could've killed us, but instead they disappeared and we haven't seen them since."

I looked back toward the bush, where Wills was probably cooking up something bad. "That's true, they did flee the battle, but they did leave us with some pretty bad scratches."

I gestured to Joel's thigh wound and Tristan's face. "Tristan's scar is proof that the Samurai are still around, maybe even in Wyong. If not Jack and Callum then certainly Briannon, and that can only mean trouble, which is the last of our worries."

Joel nodded. "I suppose no other creature or enemy could've got a mark on a raging werewolf and escaped besides Catgirl. Er, Briannon."

No one else had any more questions so we all headed back out onto the street and continued toward the hotel. Joel's curiosity got me thinking. If Briannon is around, has she found Estella? Those two certainly didn't get along last time. I remembered the fight that those two had and the way Estella managed to beat Briannon. The only thing that occurred to me after that battle was that Estella had a protective nature and would face any opponent to protect her friends.

However, whenever I'd faced Briannon in the past, she never let her emotions get in the way if it came to a battle. Briannon was a tough opponent, an opponent that wouldn't be beaten by Estella, who had taken on the identity of Raven and started her life of crime recently. Either Briannon let Estella win, or Estella had her "Raven" thing down packed.

The four of us decided to take a shortcut through a dense bush. We thought it would give us a good cover from helicopter lights. Unfortunately, it was filled with thorny shrubs and tough vines.

"This sucks." Kira complained as she struggled through the middle of two shrubs.

Tristan growled in agreement. Joel cut through a thick tangle of vines with the rim of his bow.

"How much further, anyway?" He said.

"Ill check." Tristan grumbled and transformed into a wolf.

I sighed. "I'd better go with him. You two stay here."

Tristan clawed his way up an oak tree and balanced on the the top branch as the tree swayed with his weight. I followed him by jumping and swinging my way up. He grunted when he saw me and nodded his head to his left. I looked in that direction and saw a bunch of yellow brick buildings surrounded by streetlights. In the middle of it all, the hotel stood slightly taller than the rest.
