Emily's P.O.V.
I woke up to the sound of my parents arguing at each other, the usual.
Oh Saturdays...you've gotta love 'em.
I got out of bed, and once my eyes adjusted I walked out of my room and into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and swore I saw the cowardly lion. Oh...It's just me. Great! My hair has more volume (not the good kind) than someone from the 80's.
"Ugh." I grunted.
I took out my hair moisturizer and put a bunch on. I did my usual morning routine then headed downstairs to eat breakfast.
Hopefully someone made it.
*downstairs*
It was quiet. That's strange.
I approached my mother, her eyes filled with so many emotions.
"Mom? What's wrong?" I asked her.
No response.
"Mom? What's wrong?"
She appeared to be lost in her own thought.
"Where's dad?"
{sorry. I know I know, not a good way to start the book. didn't mean for the first chapter to be so short. promise next one will be longer. I just wanted to post something. Love you. next chapter will be up soon}
