The Grand Duke was hurriedly packing his belonging into a bag. He tipped a case full of jewelry into it. He then ran to the other side of the room to grab some of the purple robes that hung there.

"Are you in a hurry? I was hoping for a word with you."

He nearly choked and spilled the gold coins onto the floor.

"Your Majesty." He bowed briefly and proceeded to gather the coins.

"So you would betray the crown for money?"

The prince drew his blade and pointed at the Grand Duke.

"Oh, I would betray the crown for a great many things. Money being just one of them."

The duke drew his own blade and swung it only to be blocked by the prince.

"Have you no shame? After how much my father trusted you."

"Your father was a fool. Willing to sacrifice comfort over the good of mere peasants. And of course, after he put me in charge it was easy to change things. You were the only thing standing in my way."

"Well, not anymore. I will take back all that is my father's – what's mine!"
"So you think that just because you spent a few days out of the castle, you think you have what it takes to rule?"

"Oh I know I can. Because I have had it all along."

He lunged for the duke another time. Quick and light on his feet. The older man fell on the ground and his sword clambered away. Amelia swiftly moved into the room and tightly secured his hands behind his back. They handed him over to the palace guards.

"It ends here," the prince said as they led him away.
