"We're not exactly friends are we?"

Things have changed since that night.

Malfoy no longer insults me and I no longer insult him. It's more...teasing now.

Like yesterday for example he found it fun to move pieces of my hair around in transfiguration.

And while I still thought of him as an annoying twat, I couldn't say I still hated him.

Pansy, on the other hand, took it upon herself to take Malfoy's place and become my new tormentor.

I didn't know anyone could become even more annoying than Malfoy but Pansy certainly did give me doubts.

Everyone I went she seemed to be there, ready to embarrass me.

She never did it in front of Malfoy which I found strange but I guess she's too busy swooning over her prick of a boyfriend.

Things went on as normal, or as normal as possible when at Hogwarts, until one night when I was getting into bed and I heard a soft tapping at the window.

I quickly got out the covers and discovered a jet black, black eyed owl hopping about on my window ledge.

I knew this owl. It was Malfoy's.

Attached to its wing was a single piece of paper that read.

"Astronomy tower
Midnight
Be there"

I glanced at the clock and realised that it was 11:55 now.

Hurriedly I pulled my hair into a ponytail and slipped on some shoes.

I was still in my pyjamas but that didn't matter.

When I arrived at the tower Malfoy was already there waiting for me.

"I didn't think you'd come." He said.

"Oh yer? Why thats?"

He looks down shuffling his feet and says, "we're not exactly the best of friends are we? I thought you'd think this was a joke or something?"

I gulp. "It's not is it?"

"No no no it's definitely not." Malfoy says all to quickly.

"I wanted to tell you something."

I walk over to where Malfoy is sitting and plop done next to him.

Accidentally brushing his knee as I do.

"I know it's none of my business and not my place but what you said last time we were here got me thinking. What if you're brother really was....."

He looks embarrassed upon saying that. Like it's something that shouldn't be said.

"You can say murdered Malfoy it doesn't change anything."

"Okay um murdered. So I talked to some people. Well paintings, cause I assumed he went to Hogwarts and they told me stuff about him. How he asked a favour off some people. Bad people apparently. And then I thought what happened if he didn't return the favour. If he was meant to give them something but couldn't. Lost it say. So they killed him for payback."

After finishing he seems to become awkward like he's just shared something personal and private.

This is all too much too fast.

He shouldn't of done that. He invaded my privacy. Yet, I was so glad that he did.

For years, I've been battling against my self to find out what really happened to my brother but part of me's always been scared to find out the truth.
