Emergency Ward [JENLISA]

Lisa's POV

I am on my way to ward 16. It is 3 in the morning and the hall is silent. Patient Enriquez demanded that a staff should be the one to draw his blood. His kinda choosy i must say. Well, lucky him I am in the mood right now.

Usually I reject this kind of request. We have interns around the hospital and they are allowed to do it

I hear sound of cats from outside the building. It scares me. There are rumors that the hall to ward 16 is haunted. Ward 16 have been renovated and is now fully functional. They said that all patient in that ward died along time ago thats why It is closed for more than 5 years. There are also rumors that if a cat showed up on your way turn back because somebody is there too.

My heart is beating loud. I want to run as fast as I could. Theres nobody at the hall but I keep my composture. Its just rumors I try to calm myself

I open the door to to the ward and I instantly sigh for relief. Oh yes. I made it. Im alive! I head to the nurses station and ask for the patients room number.

I knock twice before entering the patients room. It is dark and they are all sleeping. I cough to make my presence known but sadly no one notice me.

"Goodmorning" I said and open the lights making some of them move by the sudden brightness that hits their eye. There are 3 patient in the room and I dont know who Mr. Enriquez is.

"Good morning, For extraction. Mr. Enriquez?" I repeated but this time telling why I am there.

"Here" Patients relative answered. I can see that Mr. Enriquez is still sleeping. I went straight to them and his relative wake him up.

"Daddy, Here she is. She will draw your blood" His realtive told my patient and I believe she is his daughter.

Mr. Enriquez open his eyes and look at me. I can see attitude just by his gaze

"I dont like an intern. Tell your staff that Ill refuse unless your staff come here themselves. I already said it to my nurse. Why you keep on sending kids?" Mr. Enriquez said sternly

I dont know if Ill take it as compliment because I look like an intern or get mad because his attitude surely crushed my interns heart. Ive been there before. It hurts that a patient refuse us just because we havent get licenses yet but we have undergone series of trainings that makes iterns qualified for this job.

"Sir, Im not an itern" I told him while showing my ID.

I ask to tell me his full name, birthday and age. I need to confirm it before proceeding

I look at his daughter and she just turn her gaze away from me.

"Are you sure? You look like one. Interns were just practicing on us. You better take it on one shot" He said finally giving in.

Thats the only thing that a patient could say that makes our blood instantly boil. One shot? Geez. Do they think its that easy? What if we say to make their veins more prominent so we can hit it that easy.

Tsk. Should i hook him. I badly wanted too. Or should i use larger needle? I calm myself trying so hard not to think evil inside my head

He told me who he is and it matched from my request. I ask him to lend me his arm so i could tie the tourniquet. I could see his vein right after I tied his harm. Whats with him? His vein is more prominent than a varicose. Tsk.
