|Chapter 27|

        "Azure??? Azzy where did you go?" a small voice that belonged to a cloaked figure whimpered. It was Sprout , wandering around anxiously. He and Azure had just arrived but the castle was empty.

No maids

No guards

They did not spot his majesty the
King

and now Sprout couldn't find his friend who accompanied him.

      "I hope she didn't get caught. That reckless idiot probably got lost though..." "wait.. reckless idiot? Gosh just a few days away from the palace and i'm already so....disgusting and rude...That's what would Mother would say. " Sprout shook his head. He assured himself to not think much and quickly find Azure but the thought of Azure was quickly fought back.

He heard muffled voices coming from what seemed to be the royal garden which was odd as his close family was to be the only ones to step foot and set their eyes on the astonishingly elegant scenery. "Mayb- no....  Perhaps its a tea party? I probably should not take foot in their to avoid getting caught.... " Sprout whispered to himself. But alas his curiosity got the best of him as he snuck over towards the garden with only one thought in mind.

"One little peek won't hurt...."

He was well aware of how un-princely the way he acted was but at the moment he didn't care , his curiosity was overwhelming him. Maybe he would get his hands on something good like something on the matter of what Dai said... "Its probably some misunderstanding" he sighed to himself as he had heard that it was difficult to understand his father.

His foot steps stopped infront of the door which was wide open leading to the garden. The entire castle staff was there and what seemed to be the nobles of the land. He quickly snuck in to a bush and continued looking around once more.

Everyone seemed to be eyeing the centre of the garden. Sprout wished to see what it was about but it was so crowded that he had trouble seeing the main attraction. So had no choice but to get closer.

As he got closer he heard what seemed to be the crackles of a fire accompoinied by a strong scent of smoke that he knew Sun would dread to smell. "Oh what could it be? Some kind of feast? " but his thoughts were only to be brought down as he heard the gossips of the guests.

"Filth dare trespass on our land.. should've just remained in their wild den"

"I can't wait for the fire to start enveloping that monster"

"I can't believe it! look at it! Disgusting! That hair colour is - such a disgusting moss green"

Sprout could feel his heart beating extraordinarily fast . No doubt they were talking about Moss. "No No... maybe something else." He thought in an attempt to calm himself but as he approached closer his worst fears wore confirmed.

Tied on to a large branch was Moss. Flames enveloping her feet... they were already burnt to a crisp ...black as charcoal.... She was dressed in rags and the one keeping track of the flames was none other than his father accompanied by his mother , tulip blue.

Sprout could not believe it. He felt sick... Maybe it was all some weird dream but... his stomach lurched ad he heard the suggestions of the people.

"Gagh! The flame is too weak and slow! Kill it! Painfully!"

It? What difference is their between you and that "it"?

"I agree! Make the flames stronger!"

"Make the disgusting creature scream!!! It is a curse upon our land!!!"

Disgusting creature? She's much nicer than i've ever seen you be.

He despretly hoped that the flames would be brought to a sudden stop .... of course his wish wouldn't come true.

The fire was now burning her body as a hole by the end of it she'll be nothing but a pile of ashes. She screamed and yelled. But the audience surrounding her found it amusing..  In her screams she yelled out curses to the crowd.

"ONE DAY YOU WILL ALL SUFFER THE CONSQUENCES"

Sprout couldn't handle it... he didn't know what to think... The only thing he wanted to do now was flee and run away. He had nothing to do with it.... he wanted to save her but what could he do?

So he ran up to his room but as he went he began getting more and more dizzy.. the urge to vomit increasing... until everything went black and he felt the sensation of falling....

AUTHORS NOTE
Ay! I finally finished the first Arc! i have to admit the story was a little all over the place (i apologize for that) and i didn't get the chance to express many things related to the village and the discrimination so i hope to touch on those subjects in later arcs.

I just wanted to say thanks for supporting me all the way up to now! I hope to improve my story alot more.

Anyways i wanted to tell you that the two arcs from now on are going to be centered around Sun and Azure. I feel like i was not able to properly show their personality's and things so i'm going to play on that.

As you might have guessed this Arc was centered mainly on Sprout. You must've known he lacks personality but i assure you he gets better as the story progresses^^
