Thirteen

"I say a toast!" Mason shouts, rasing his glass of alcohol. "A toast to living free and wild. Whooo!" We all raise our glasses and drink. I took a sip of my rasberry ice tea and set the cup back down. Ive never been much of a drinker after that night back before Lilly was born.

We decided to go out and eat. We choose a place everyone loves, Buffalo Wild Wings. Here, we are welcome to party and eat as much as we want. We didnt really worry about money cause between all of us, we had plenty. Besides, formaly being married to a rock star had its perks. I never once told my friends where i get the money. They always asked how i had so much but i never said a word.

"So, how are you feeling Jess?" I cringed slightly as Jayden said my name. My fake name. The same name i used when me and Adam first broke up and i moved away. It just doesnt feel right to lie about my name anymore. To lie about my personality. I feel fake, to all my friends.

I look up at Jayden, waiting for an answer. I ignore her and look around at the rest of my friends. They all seemed happy and having the time of thier lives laughing at each others jokes and telling various stories. My life used to be like that with the Three Days Grace Boys. They were like family to me. They were like my brothers from another mother. I was always the closest with Neil though.

Jayden clapped and snapped her fingers in front of my face which finally got my attention. "Jess? Hey are you ok?" I frowned. This isnt me anymore. Im pretending to be someone im not and running away from my problems. I hate to say this but i miss my old life. Its never occured to me once in the last 14 years that i missed it. I just ran away from it, tried to forget it.

"No. Im not ok." I said confidently. She gave me a sympathetic look and took my cold hands into hers.

"Whats wrong?" She says again with a sad look. I look over at my friends who seem to quiet down and listen to whats going on. I take my hand away from Jayden's and earn a confused look.

"It's time i stop running from my past. I have for the past 14 years when i met all you guys. You guys have been so kind to me and i want to keep it that way. But don't call me Jess anymore. Its not me anymore." They all nodded. I smiled, finally feeling like im doing something right.

"So what are you gonna do?" I looked out the window i was sitting next to and look around at the city i onced lived in. Memories flooded back to my mind as a fimilar red mustang came riding by. Its time to get my life back on track.

"Im gonna get my life back." I said smiling looking at each one of thier faces light up with joy and happiness.

"Thats great! Its about time you said that!" Logan exclaims hugging me with a weird side hug since we were sitting down.

"Here's to Eve! For getting her life back!" Jayden yelled, lifting her glass in the air. We all did a toast and drank .

Later that night we went back to the hotel room. Some of them were drunk while the rest of us were sober or sober enough. Mason, Logan and Silvia were passed out cold on one of the beds while Jayden, Madison and i were on the other watching tv and talking.

"So what excatly make you want to get your life back?" Madison asked while her eyes were glued to the screen.

"This town i guess. It has so many memories. So many people that i grew to love." Madison looked at me, surprised yet fascinated of who i used to know. Jayden already knew so she still had her eyes on the TV.

"Like who? You have to tell me!" She sounded like a girl at a sleep over talking about gossip.

"Well there was my Daughter but i left when she was like 3. There was my hus..." I stopped what i was gonna say. It dosnt seem right to call him my husband anymore. I don't even know if he still loves me likw he used to. Im pretty sure hes still pretty pissed at me. "There was Adam who i was married to at the time and there was the boys. They were like family to me. Oh and of course my friends." As my mind came across Kylie and them i remember so many memories of them.

Jayden finally payed attention to the conversation and decided to listen in on more.

"Oooo. These boys seem nice. And sexy." She winked. "Who exactly are they?" I smiled. Remembering all the times with them. From the time i met them to all the parties we've went to. Even the times where we just sat up all night talking.

"The Three Days Grace boys." She seemed shocked. So shocked she started to squeel. We quickly shushed her down, not wanting to wake the others.

"You know Three Days Grace!" I smiled and nodded.

"Of course she knows them. She was married to Adam Gontier dummy." Jayden says smacking her upside the head. Not gonna lie it was kind of funny.

"Yeah. I just have so much memory with everyone here. And running into my daughter on accident showed me how much i actually miss this place and everyone in it." I smiled once more looking down at the bracelet i wore. Adam once gave it to me for a present.

"You really loved Adam didnt you?" Madison asked, looking at tge bracelet.

I love you more than rock and roll

That was ingraved in tge bracelet followed by Adams initals. "Of course i did. More than anything." If only i could get him back.

"Then you need to get your mans back. And your daughter. Im sure they miss you so much." I looked up at her with a sad face. If only it were that easy.

"Its not that easy Madison. Adam is still pretty pissed and im pretty sure So is Lilly." They patted me on the back and comforted me. But she was right. I need to get them back. I need to get my life in order and stop running.

We cane up with a plan to win them back within 3 hours and we all went to bed for some rest. We are gonna need plenty if it for tomarrows quest.

Wow. So i had a lot of emotion and stuff on my mind and i wanted to write to get it all out. So you guys got a chapter. Not gonna lie, the endimg kinda sucked but hey im getting the story somewhere. Next chapter will be out soon. Maybe saturday. Im busy friday.
