It has been two week since I have arrived at the safe house and everything has been going smoothly. There has been no word on the Magnum finding me, nor are they anywhere close to finding me. Petro and I have been hitting it off and I know I’ve been only here for two weeks but I’ve known him for my whole life.
Rooms are now available but I still sleep with Petro, although we haven’t had sex since that night I got here. Some would think he was just in it for the sex but these past two weeks he’s been nothing but loving and caring for me.
“Keria, are you alright?” Petros voice brought me back from my day dream. I was sitting at the kitchen island, eating some toast for breakfast.
His strong arms wrapped around my shoulders from behind, as he kissed my head. “Yeah, I’m fine, just not a morning person.” I explained, taking the last bite of my yummy toast.
He chuckled. “You’re cute.” He unwrapped his arms and went to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water.
I rolled my eyes and hopped off the chair and put my dishes in the sink. I turned around to find Petro right behind me, I almost yelped from surprise. He took a step closer, and brushed away my red hair that was falling into my eyes. “I wish you could stay here, Keria.” He kissed my forehead and then my lips.
Truth be told, I was wishing that to but I haven’t told him that I was actually considering it. I just graduated from High School and I didn’t want to go off to university just yet. I was thinking I could stay here for a little while in till I figured what I wanted in life.
“Who knows what could happen.” I smiled at him and in return he gave me a full hearted smile back. Someone walked into the kitchen and I pushed Petro back to put some distance between us.
I looked over to find Quinn, one of Petros friends, grinning at us. I couldn’t fight the blush that was making its way onto my face. “Sorry, did I interrupt something?” Sending me a wink.
I quickly composed myself and turned back to the sink and started to wash my dishes. “Of course not.” I said at the same time Petro grumbled, “Maybe.” I shot him a glare, but he just grinned at me like a fool.
“Anyways, I’m going to head into town and grab some groceries. I’ll probably be back in about three hours, give or take.” Quinn said and started to leave the kitchen.
“Wait!” I spun around, my hands still wet from the dishes. Quinn turned around and raised his eyebrow at me.
“Can I come, I haven’t been outside in forever?” I asked, drying my heads on the dishcloth that was hanging on the stove.
Quinn looked over to Petro, asking for permission. I wish I could tell them to shove it, that I didn’t need permission to go somewhere; but sadly, if you live in the safe house, you need permission from Petro to go anywhere.
Petro hesitated, deciding on whether or not I should go. I walked over to him and bashed my eyelashes, giving him a pout. “Pwetty pwease?”
He groaned but nodded his head, “But to stay with Quinn at all times.”
“YAH! Thank you!” I kissed him on the check and faced Quinn, who had a disturbed look on his face. I rolled my eyes. “Shut up, let’s go.”
I pulled on his shirt to get him to follow me out of the kitchen and to the garage, although I’m pretty sure I didn’t have to. “Okay, okay! I’m not a dog, you don’t have to pull me around.” He teased.
I looked over my shoulder and gave him a pointed look. He put his hands up in surrounded. “Okay- I mean woof woof!” I smirked and opened the garage door.
