"Hey! You can't take this girl out of school unless you are her parent!" A fat bald teacher barked at me. "I am her guardian" I said lying. "I am taking her out to lunch". The man looked at the girl and she nodded her head and tried to look happier. "Alright" he scoffed marching away.

We silently got on the bus and I sat her down on a chair.

"Travis, who is this? Why did you run off the bus?" Hunter asked looking concerned. "Nothing just get me some towels, water, and the first aid kit" I said slowly. He did as told.

I tied her hair back and gently washed her face. "What's your name?" I asked her. Tears slid down her face. "Anna" she croaked. I hugged her. "Everything's gonna be okay, don't cry okay?" I said. She nodded and I continued washing her face and put bandaids where she had been cut by those mean bullies.

Once I finished she hugged me and said "thank you". I smiled. "Why were those girls beating you up?". She sighed. "They beat me up everyday" she said with a blank expression. "I'm used to it". More tears slid down her face. I wiped them away with my thumbs and held her face in my hands. I started singing just keep breathing.

.... "Just keep breathing breathing breathing" I finished and she hugged me again. "Look, no one can get used to beat ups everyday" I said. "Have you told your parents about this?". She looked down at her feet. "I'm an orphan" she sighed. "I live in a foster home and that's why those girls beat me up". I could hear the sound of my heart breaking. "Don't worry, I'll do something about this" I said. "In the mean time, we have a show to do. Would you like to come?"

Her eyes were wide and she smiled and nodded fastly. It was the first time I saw happiness on he face and I couldn't help but laugh.
