Chapter 2 : Wishes

Y/N'S POV

1 week later

I finally have time to stop by the shop today, the one I discovered a week ago

All the projects are going to an end this week so we're not going to be that busy and we now have time for lounging around

I went inside the shop and was greeted by Eve

"Y/N, you finally stopped by, how may I help you today?" She said with a pearly white smile

I returned with a smile and said

"I'm just gonna look around for a bit, maybe I'll find something"

"Sure, but if you can't find anything, come back here to the counter, I'll show you something" her pearly white smile turned into a smile that felt like it meant something, I felt curious, inquisitive even, but I'll let it slide for now

"Okay" I said as I walked to an aisle full of pillows

As I kept on looking around, the thought still lingering in my head distracting me from being able to look around and be interested by the things around me so I just decided to just go to the counter and say I couldn't anything and just see what she meant earlier

And when I was doing so, I passed by an ailse full of notebooks and books, one caught my eye, (pic is up there in the media 👆👆).

I stopped and picked it up to look at it, it was written by an anonymous person, I wonder what this holds?

I walked to the counter and asked,

"Can I get this?"

"Ah, I see you've found something, can I see it?" She said holding her hand out, I gave her my desired book and she opened it, To be honest, I'm not the type of person who opens ones desired book without paying or getting home first, I know that the book is right for me because I can just feel it, if I'm interested in a book but I'm not so sure, I'll surely open it to be sure, that's just how I am

As she opened it, I tried reading her expression, she looked a bit shocked but regained her normal face

"Is there a problem?" I asked

"Hm?" She looked up from the book to look at me

"The book I mean" I said pointing towards it

"Ahhh, no no, you can take it, and when you read this and you feel like something is off, Come back here straight"

I looked at her weirdly and confused

"Its just that, That this is my favorite book and I hope that you'll love it as much as I did, and, good luck, you'll need it" she beamed a sincere smile

"Umm, sure, how much would this be?"

"Its free of charge, I want to give this to you then, it's a very beautiful and wonderful book, its a very special one for me indeed, if you have any questions with this book, you can always come by here, I'll answer them for you but I won't give any spoilers 😉 "
She gave a playful wink in her last sentence in which I found cute

"Sure! Thank you so much!" I smiled as widely as I can

I mean who wouldn't be happy when a book you want to read is given to you freely

"Ofcourse! Now run along now, I think you're dying to read it already" she smiled

"Is it that obvious?  I was trying so hard not to be hehe" I joked

She chuckled and smiled

"I'll go now, thanks for the book!!  I'll stop by sometime!!

I said as I walked to the door, i waved goodbye as she did and went my way
