Cooking Calamity

   "So you see why I am so damn nervous right? Like shit he keeps popping out of every fucking where and being all touchy and flirty!" Avery finished his rant with a huff while he waved a wooden spoon in frustration. He had spent the last 10 minutes explaining why he needed them to help him deal with Caden. He needed them to see reason and protect him from the nut job.

   "Seriously, Avery? What could go wrong? You never know. You might enjoy it." Jackson snickered his reply before ducking under the wooden spoon and shooting a cheeky smirk at Avery's blatant distress. He really was not surprised that Avery was pleading with them but it was not his problem and he knew Caden would not be gentle if he got between their love. Jackson refused to run Miko duty for the next two years.

   "Do not look at me. I think you and Caden make a wonderful couple and fully support his efforts to win your love. I will not step in the middle unless he pushes you too far and so far he hasn't. This is your problem, Avery." Miko spoke firmly to him while stealing a chocolate chip before Jackson could prevent it.

   "Seriously? You guys suck!" Avery waved his hand as he spoke. Mid movement the wooden spoon slipped from Avery's grip and smacked Miko in the face by accident. Avery felt the wave of guilt and after the denial of his plea for help.. Well he refused to apologize. She would get over it.

   "Seriously Avery! Be careful!" Jackson groaned out as he flicked the mixer on before moving around to check on, the now sniffling, Miko. He really hoped she didn't cry. It was not his favourite thing to deal with.

   "Shut up Jackson! You didn't add enough fucking chocolate chips." Avery grumbled in and in a hurried attempt to avoid the guilt and make amends without saying sorry he fumbled the bag of chocolate chips promptly spilling the entire bag into the mixer. He stared in horror as the mixer started to spew and flick the batter and chocolate chips in every direction.

   "Shit! You fucking idiot! What are you doing hurry up and turn it off!!" Jackson yelled as he leaned over in front of Miko in an attempt to reach the mixer. Now he had an upset female and an idiot screwing up his shit. Just what he needed today.

   Avery fumbled and panicked before he turned and moves for the cord of the mixer. True to his lack of luck recently he stepped on some batter which sent him flying and in his fall he succeeded to catch the cord. Of course this sent the mixer and Avery falling to the ground breaking the mixer and making a larger mess.

   "Seriously Avery? You are worse then Miko in the damn kitchen." Jackson scolded Avery as if he was a child. Miko was famously not allowed in the kitchen without supervision after the incident with the bacon.

   "Least I'm not a jackass who won't help his friend out!" Avery shouted at Jackson before, with the worst timing ever, chucking an egg at Jackson. Avery watched in horror as Jackson moved out of the way unaware of the item thrown which allowed it to hit Miko directly in the face. Could this get any worse? Seriously... What else could go wrong today.

   It took exactly two seconds for Avery to wish he had never thought those words. In a blink Miko was in tears and faster then Avery could think she was gone running off to either her room or the office space. He was so fucked it wasn't even funny.

   "Are you kidding me? Real mature!" Jackson growled as he promptly tossed a bowl of flour on Avery. He was going to get Miko duty for a month now! This idiot couldn't just be smart for two damn seconds!

   Avery, in retaliation, chose this moment to throw a bag of flour on Jackson for his shit. As the two glared each other down a very unimpressed Caden stepped into the kitchen. When he came to a stop in the middle of the kitchen he slowly turned to Jackson and Avery.

   "What did you idiots do..?" Caden's annoyed voice questioned as he stood in the middle of the kitchen staring at a flour covered Jackson and Avery. He left for five damn minutes and these idiots had somehow, in the middle of baking cookies to refill Miko's cookie jar to avoid her violently stabbing them with spoons, gotten into a fight and made a mess.

   "I was trying to make the cookie batter and he started bitching that there was not enough chocolate chips in it! I told him anymore would fuck up the batter and to get out but he didn't listen! Now the mixer is broken, there is batter on the ceiling and he hit Miko with a wooden spoon and an egg!" Jackson threw his hands up in utter exasperation as he explained the series of chaotic stupidity that happened.

   "I told you there weren't enough because there were not enough! And at least my solution to her rage wasn't giving her the bowl of strawberries and begging her not to cry! He started throwing flour and shit at me when the mixer broke which I did not do or cause! He was too busy texting to pay attention!" Avery's offended shouted his side of the story without a second thought.

   "So... You two were idiots, the cookies didn't get made, Miko is off hurt and upset with strawberries and the kitchen needs to be cleaned and cookies need to be made. That is what I took from this entire thing. Avery go shower and then go order pizza or something and please apologize so Miko doesn't glue you butt naked to the ceiling out of spite. Jackson... cookies and then clean the kitchen then hit the shower. No excuses. Move it both of you." Caden called out his orders before shoving the groceries into Jackson's hands before he stalked off to find Miko before she decided to get even.
