The next day mom called us for a announcement. We stood there waiting for mom to speak up. "Ahem!" I coughed. All eyes snap to me making me gulp.

"I'm pregnant." Those word that came from mom's mouth made my spoon fall with a loud thud and caused dad to choke on his water. "Mom why did you have to be pregnant? Isn't our life in a poor state that you still have to bring another life in this world? Isn't our suffering enough?" I yelled at her not caring if my dad is angry at me. "Do not speak to your mom like that Arthur! She is the one who gave birth to to even if we didn't want you to arrive in this world." I was silenced when my dad said that. I left the table and banged the chair to show that I'm really mad.

Going out of the house was not a mistake because it made me realized many things. One of it is that every child is a blessing. Even if he or she is a mistake, unplanned or born by rape one must always love them.

When I went back inside the house, I learned that having a sibling is not bad. You can have someone to play with, to love and to be your partner in everything. One that will fight for you and protect you.

A few months later, mom's stomach started to bulge. Like any other woman that was eight months pregnant, she gained a huge weight and started having a big appetite. She is also having several mood swings a day and cravings. One second she'll be happy and the next she'll be screaming. Sometimes late at night she'll wake us up– especially me, to cook spicy foods for her. I noticed her grimace of distaste whenever she was given anything that was not spicy. That meant she even wanted her fruits with chili or hot sauce. Though, her pregnancy didn't stop her from working. She still goes to the vineyard to work and carries heavy things thus making me to continue worrying about her and the baby's health.

"Woman are you sure you're not carrying twins?" inquired the vendor while we were having a stroll. "I don't care how many they are as long as they're healthy." mom answered heartily and walked out after that.

Going back to the house, dad instructed me to evacuate my room and let my baby sibling stay there. I unhappily cleaned my room. I dusted out my drawer while complaining. Pushing my clothes to one side to give space for the baby's clothes. Opening my bottom drawer, I saw lots my clothes when I was an infant. Seeing a sparkly book I decided to take a look at it. Opening it, I saw a stick that contains two pink lines in the first page with a caption "See you soon baby." Going to the second page was "Best dad ever" written on a white shirt which brought tears on my eye as I reminisced the moments with my dad. While constantly flipping the pages I only saw clothes, gifts, cribs, blue balloons with a formed word boy and a caption "Yes!" Nothing really caught my eye – "Wow!" I exclaimed while closing my hung low jaw. Inside that picture was my face when I was a baby.
