Be Bold
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. Psalms 138:3
As it is clear from above in the scripture we know that anytime we cry out to God he hears us. Even though it may seem like he doesn’t he does. God provides us with strength all the time and that is spiritual strength. If we allow it, he emboldens us to face the trials that we face. A soldier in battle cannot be a coward and lay on the ground, they must fight for their freedom and survival.
In this life we struggle with the forces of evil that we cannot see, but we also struggle with ourselves. It takes transforming your mind to get out of the pit that you may be in. But above all you must be bold enough to do it, you must be bold enough to make a change. If you think you will get out of a painful situation, or a painful life without pain then you are wrong. A soldier does not leave a battlefield without injury.
In life to get over the past me must feel pain once again. When you get hit with an arrow it hurts going in, it hurts while it's there, and it hurts when you pull it out. Life is much of the same, it will hurt during the process of healing. You can’t be hurt by something and get out of it pain free. Leaving it there will only cause you more pain. If you remove it, then you can heal.
You must be bold and strong. Part of being bold means that you will face the pain head on, and you will not back down. In order for us to heal spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically we must face the fact that we will feel some pain. We must also face the fact that being bold does not mean you won’t be scared, but being bold also means when something doesn’t work the first time we do not just give up.
The story of David and Goliath is told from beginning to end in first Samuel chapter seventeen. David was just known as the average guy, he took care of sheep. Goliath was a giant and he was unstoppable, or so he thought. David with no military experience challenges this giant. Is it safe to say he was scared? Not only that but his weapon of choice was a few stones and a slingshot!
David was bold, he did not back down even if he may have been scared. God almighty had already prepared him, he had slain a lion who had took one of his sheep. He did not see the purpose of it then, but as you read it becomes clear. God had already prepared him, emboldened him, and given him the strength to do what he set out to do. When we are ready, and when it is time God will see us through.
Being bold is a very important feature in any person's life. Being bold can mean many things, but here it simply means stop allowing the devil to run you over! Stop allowing your life to go any which way, while you ride in the back seat and take the wheel and live! Many people coast through life, never taking risks, never questioning anything, and never really getting to know themselves. Many people are unhappy because they allow themselves to just exist in life, rather than deciding that they will be the author of their own future.
In the beginning of Genesis of the Bible, you see all these amazing things happening. The moon is create, the sun is created, the earth is formed, the first humans are formed, and yet no one seems to get what is going on here. The Bible isn’t descriptive about everything, so you have to wonder what God was feeling at that time. He decided to take a risk! Yet, for some reason we don’t imagine God as a smiling being in the clouds.
