SPEAK IT!

'Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.' Proverbs 18:21

This one passage holds so much power, so many complex concepts it couldn't possibly be explained in this one little chapter. Be sure to check out my next novel on this matter. Death and life could mean anything. Imagine having a plant sitting at a window, then imagine every time you said something good it sprang up to life, and every time you said something bad it would shrivel up and die. Whatever you speak can be brought to life.

God shows us the power of words! He said let there be light with his mouth and the sun, the moon,  the stars we're all created. Imagine words appearing in the air every time you speak, curling and moving in the air and taking and waiting for a destination.

Not only are those words powerful,  but the more you say something the more it takes root in you. It takes root in the spirit realm as well as on earth. Our very words can alter the spiritual realm, the world around us, the people around us, the circumstances. If you could see them you would see them ripple the very air. Of course you can't just say let a billion dollars appear before me now, it's not magic and it is a highly complex concept.

Word can change or destroy your life,  and I know this first hand. I have had a special gift that I gladly accept from our creator. Everything I speak takes effect very quickly, so I have to be very careful what I speak at all times. Sure I forget, but I regret it later. Recently I have had a major change in my life by not only changing the words that I say, but the words that I think as well.

Let's analyze the scripture then we will talk more about this amazing weapon in our lives. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue:" Well death and life can mean many things. On very rare occasions, it can actually mean physical life and death. We see that from the Bible when people were healed, and when some literally fell dead.

This can also mean spiritual death, the death of a dream, a hope, a goal. If I wanted to lose forty pounds, but I kept saying I'm fat and lazy I'll never do this. That is exactly what will happen. Indecisive speaking may be even worse, you say I can do it, then you say no I can't. Just as the angels we're readying, and the miracles was ready to be released you say words like can't, no, impossible, stupid. Words activate or deactivate every spiritual thing.

If you continuously speak words out loud, they take root in the spiritual realm, in your heart and soul, and not only that the devil is always listening! He is waiting for you to say something negative so he can dispatch his demons, or carry out his demonic plan. Stop handing the weapon to the enemy. You see how absurd that is?  I'm tired of everything happening in my life, but I keep handing Satan the ammunition.

Once something takes root inside of you, it is hard to get out. At various difficulty, some are easy to pluck out of your soul and some take way longer. The longer you let it sit, the more, difficult it will be to get out. So, that is why it is important to watch what you say at all times, and even if you don't have enough faith right then. Keep saying it until you do.

The next part says that they shall eat the fruit thereof. Remember all scriptures take on many different forms, and this is only one interpretation. This is pretty self explanatory, like the term, eat your words. Whatever you have spoken will be what you "eat". In this sense, we know it means you are going to either regret what you said or rejoice.

You will eat those words, unfortunately on a daily basis we say little things that seem to have no meaning, but really they are very powerful. Imagine, I am very forgetful. I forget my books to class, and I say to myself I'm so stupid my memory is getting worse. What do you expect to happen next?  You just said your memory was getting worse, so why would it get better. From experience it is true, if you say your memory is worse it will worsen. If you say it is better, then it will get better.

The same applies to every aspect of life, whether it is something as simple as saying I get sick every time around this year, or something as big as I won't get that promotion. Remember that you have the power to change your life by speaking it into existence. Does that many everything you speak will go as planned? No sometimes God has something greater. You may say I'm going to get promoted to director and someone else gets the job.

You feel disappointed, but then several months later you get a call being promoted at a new job to CEO. So no matter if the thing you said doesn't work exactly as you said it, keep speaking it and have faith that God will deliver.

Words have tremendous power over our everyday lives, and our future. Stop saying negative things out of your mouth, begin speaking positive things today and practice everyday. I will, I can, he will, he can, it can, it is possible. Speak positivity over your life today. Stop speaking negatively today. At the end of this chapter I have provided an exercise exclusively for you.

Ways to begin speaking positivity in your life:

●    Get up in the morning as soon as you wake up, and say something positive. It will set the tone for the rest of the day and will be the first thing you think of.

●    Speak positively in the lives of others. Speaking positive in the lives of others not only benefits them, but you as well. Especially those close to you.

●    Remember some positive words. As highlighted in the chapter words like I can, or he can. Phrases like I can do this. He can do this.

●    Take time out, and think of the positives in your life. Think of the positive things you have done.If you need help ask someone who knows you well.

●    Practice thankfulness. The more thankful you are the more optimistic you will be about life.

●    Think more positive thoughts, if you have negativity in your life take the risk and think positive.

Exercise: Find one thing that you would like to work on, do, or say. Repeat the positive thing once day, or as many times a day as you like everyday. (Try it for 30 days.) For example: I can lose weight. I can become healthier. I will get rid of negative people in my life. I will get rid of this man who means me no good. Keep a little journal to check your progress.

Prayer to teach me how to speak things over my life: Dear Lord, teach me how to speak the appropriate things over my life. Help me make it a habit to speak positive things over my life, and prevent me from speaking negative things over my life. Come against anyone who tries to speak negative things over me, as you said in your word. Lord no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Teach me about your word, and how I may use it to transform my life and transform me. Remove my enemies from my life, and allow room for friends. In Jesus name, amen.
