[A/N] I know, another ongoing story! But this has been sitting in my drafts for a while now so I decided to just publish the existing chapters. This is just a short (and sweet) story, and it might get finished earlier than my other two.

If you like the chapter, please comment and vote. 😘

👓 Beam

The alarm clock loudly blaring above my head woke me up from a very... nice dream.

I groggily rise from the bed and do my morning routine. Ughh, I hate Mondays. I took off my shirt and boxers and look at the mirror to inspect my lanky frame, and pale skin. Oh well. I flexed my arms a bit and looked at my laughable biceps. If only I could gain some muscle. But how though, I don't do sports, I hate sports. I sigh at the thought and went on with my daily tasks.

After dressing for school, I sprayed on some new cologne my aunt gave me last Christmas. It was too sweet for my taste but I ran out of my usual so I decided to use this one anyway. I smelled fruity, but it's kinda okay, just mild and not very offensive to the nose.

I went down to have breakfast with mom and my little brother.

"Good morning, hun," Mom kissed my hair and made me sit on the table.

I ruffled Wayo's hair as I sat down.

"Hey, I spent half an hour on this," he pouted.

"Nothing looked different though," I teased as I adjusted my thick-rimmed glasses.

"Excuse me, this-" he pointed to his entire wardrobe. "is called fashion."

I just snorted. But in all honesty, he looked really cool. He was wearing some denim pants, a dark shirt with some cool looking design, and his hair was a properly styled luscious black. Whatever happened to my cute little brother? Well, he still looked cute, but fashionable. We both used to wear thick glasses and braces, but he was 'cool' now so he started using contacts and was happy to take off his braces a year ago. While I'm still here stuck in my nightly retainers. I don't like to wear contacts either because I feel it is too bothersome and irritates my eyes. So for me, it's hello glasses, forever. For my hair, well, I don't really care about style. Wayo and I have the same luscious jet black hair. While he spends a great amount of time styling his, I just let mine fall on my head, my bangs covering my forehead. A few runs with my fingers after drying and I'm done.

"Did you finish your homework?" I asked.

"Of course, Beamie," he said. "I may need some help in my chemistry tomorrow though."

"Sure,"

Though we only have a one year gap in age, I was two years ahead at school since I was accelerated. I don't mind though since I love studying the advanced Maths.

As we were about to finish breakfast, I hurriedly made a three layer peanut butter and jelly sandwich and packed it in a ziplock.

"Hey, is he still extorting food from you?"

"Shush!" I scolded him as I looked over at Mom in the kitchen.

"Wow, he's still doing that? Why don't you fight back or something?"

I just rolled my eyes.

"Me? Fight him?" I asked him sarcastically. How can I fight him with this lanky body of mine? I'll just be crushed in an instant.

"Whatever, Beam. Just don't let him bully you."

"Just quit it Yo, he hasn't done anything extreme though, and I can take it. I don't want trouble and I certainly don't want to draw any attention,"
