Chapter 3- Loophole
************************************************************************
The room was completely silent. The only thing you could hear was Cade breathing hard looking murderously angry. He shouted out and slammed his fist down on the diamond table and a crack formed deep in it.
“Cade enough!” I said gripping his wrist he looked at me and began trying to calm his rough breathing.
I pushed him down into his seat by his shoulder and held his hand tightly while he closed his eyes and did what I taught him to control that temper of his.
“This changes everything. Top 7 sorcerers WILL all look into this. Top 3 as of now which means Cade, Tera, and I will be searching for Mallory. The next four WILL be looking for a cure to this madness, she said it’s an invisible poison, you need to find a reverse to it. The other two of you WILL have to take care of any other issues outside of this situation, keep an eye on the other creatures we need to know if Mallory is planning on using them too. And no one DARE go to her side, so help me I will hunt you down myself and you will die right along side her.” I shouted sounding as authoritive as I could. I was seriously pissed right about now. No one ever has seen me this angry and they looked frightened. Good.
Jason was going to end up dead because of a evil sorceress. I will not stand by and watch this happen to him and his sister. Technically we can’t directly help in human affairs. But this is more than that, this isn’t just a ‘human affair’ anymore. I’ve found a loophole in the rules, and I’m going to take the chance of the trouble I could get in and help that boy. Its what’s right. If this is what sends me to the pits of hell, then I’m going to blaze the path all the way down.
“She is right” Cade said backing me up, “if Mallory gets this to work, which she is perfectly capable of, think about how the world would be under her rule. Most of you know her well enough that earth and hell would become one. She will make an army, get us all out the picture and when disaster strikes she will turn a blind eye to it, everything we’ve worked for will become ruin” he says looking semi-cool now. The others nodded and knew we meant business.
“There are thirty days until Halloween, she will find a way to use that night against us, we will all be at our most powerful but that means so will she and that’s when she will strike a major attack, by All Saints day she will have more backup and won’t even need powers. We don’t know how many are following her already outside of the humans” I say staring each one of the sorcerers in the eye.
Chelsea looked frightened. I’m sure this was way too much for any former human, it wasn’t fair to her and I pitied her. Luca should have never gotten so involved with her and she wouldn’t be in this situation right now. She had to help out now, I wasn’t giving her the option to back down from helping. The least I could do was give her a simple job. Tanner is a good guy, he will help her whichever way he can, even though he has always been the shy type he has a calming presence.
“We have no time to waste she must be stopped before Halloween” I tell them “Leave now, get started with what I have told you immediately and contact me if there are any updates.”
I slid my index finger over the crack in the table Cade had put there and repaired it before laying both hands on the table and the blaze in the center shot up, our necklaces reappearing around our necks.
