THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW"KIYOMI, WHAT ARE YOU doing for the talent show this year?" A dark colored male asked the girl in English as he turned around from his desk. She winced upon hearing her name get butchered. "Its 'Key-yoh-me', Josh. Not 'Kai-oh-me'. I've told you this for the past two years." Josh revealed his white teeth, smiling sheepishly. "Sorry, I forgot again." A light laugh escaped her lips, shaking her head and saying it was okay. Her chin rested in her hand as she spoke: "I don't know. Sing like the past years?"
"Maybe you should to that Chinese music genre that all you girls have been craving about?" A voice behind her croaked out. Kiyomi inhaled slowly, rubbing her smooth lips together. That voice... boy did she hate that voice and the owner. "I think you mean the term 'K-pop', Zac." She told the racist white guy. It wasn't new to the students about his behavior. The whole of her school knew that Zac Waters was the most racist guy in their school. But everyone, girls mainly, tended to ignore it because of his good looks, money and popularity. "Right. That's what I said."
"Neo gaesaek-kiya. (You're a dog)." She muttered out loud in Korean, turning her face to the front, meeting Josh's hatred-filled eyes. Nothing was worse than being an Asian or a person of color when it came to Zac. The bell for lunch had rung, immediately making the white male head outside for sports. Kiyomi was glad when she remembered Zac had a sports exchange to New Zealand for the next week so she wouldn't have to see him then. The female whipped out her phone as Josh had returned to listening to music as he practice his talent: magic - also known as fooling the people around you. Unlocking her phone, she was greeted with a wallpaper that instantly brought a smile to her face.
It was a childhood photo of her and her two best friends. Her nine-year-old self was in middle of Lee Yongbok and Bang Chan. Or Felix and Christopher, Chris for short. Four to five years ago Chan had left Australia to go back to Korea with his parents. Felix left a few years later after him. Leaving her all alone. But she never hated them for it. To this day, she talked to them and had lengthy video calls, and messages. Kiyomi was about to text their group chat when above it, a new conversation appeared.
It was from her parents. More specifically her mother, telling her to come home early because they had something to tell her. A frown appeared on her face. It wasn't good when they told her to come early let alone that they needed to tell her something that couldn't be said over text.

"Kiyomi, we're moving back to Korea in two weeks."
"Nani? (What?)" The girl blinked blankly at her Korean-Australian born father and her Japanese-Australian born mother. Her mother sighed softly, giving a small smile to her daughter as she covered her hands with her own. "We got transferred back to our old hospital. They've given us much higher positions than the last time. The one before we moved to Australia? We thought you'd be a bit more excited." Her mother laughed quietly.
