Pregame Rituals- Tyler Seguin

Could you write something for Tyler Seguin and being part of his pregame ritual especially with playoffs? Like you need to be there for his pregame nap to sleep better? And maybe he likes when you cook his pregame meal? And knowing you're out in the audience during warmups and the game to make him play better? Maybe you even travel with him to help him do better when the games are important

You started dating Tyler Seguin after he was traded to Dallas. You meet him through the organization as you were a statistician for the Stars. This allowed you to be close to him at all times but still giving him his space. But over the six years that the two of you have been dating you have learned a lot about Tyler's pregame superstitions.

1. Roast the other team.

This ritual was started by you accidentally. You and Tyler had been talking about how his old team, the Bruins, were coming into town. You could tell Tyler was extremely tense about playing against his old team and tried to think of a way to relax him. When you woke up the next morning, you left a little drawing for when Tyler woke up. While you were going over some stats to share with the players for that night, you got a text from Tyler with the laughing crying emoji and a picture of the funny doodle of Brad Marchand with his nose drawn overly large. Since that day you always give him a doodle mocking an opposing player to try and loosen him up.

2. Pregame Meal

No matter what city you are in or what you are doing for the team, Tyler needs you to make his pregame meal. Even though he has professional chefs that could cook his meals for him, there is something comforting about his girlfriend making his meals. The other players definitely tease the two of you about this but you don't really mind. It gives you guys a nice time to bond with your boyfriend. Even though you work for the Stars and are at the same location, you don't really get to see Tyler that often. So when you cook his meal, he usually sits by you and talks to you. It ranges from all different topics from the TV show you guys are watching to random childhood stories.

3. Pregame Nap

After he finishes his meal, he goes back to the hotel with the rest of the team to take naps or just relax. You go back with them and spend more time with Tyler. What usually happens is Tyler snuggles up to your side while you sit on your computer looking over more stats or watch videos trying to pick out tendencies for the players to watch. Tyler usually falls asleep quickly as you run your hand through his hair which he finds extremely soothing. He also didn't really get all the numbers that were sprawled across your computer screen even after you tried to explain them to him.

4. Last Text

Before every game, the last thing you send to Tyler is a good luck text. This usually contains some encouraging words from you, a stat for him to remember, and a gif that pertains to love. The encouraging words usually are that you are proud of him no matter what and to play tough and well. Also, there's a comment about how if he gets hurt, you would kill him. The stat would be something about the other team, so to try and help him. The gif usually consisting of animals that say "I love you" or the Fez drawing a heart with his fingers from "That's 70s Show."

5. After Game

No matter how well or how bad Tyler does, you always will support him. This support usually manifests itself through a hug and a kiss. If the game was rough, the hug is usually longer and tighter. If he played well, the kiss is usually rougher. If he played very well, most of the celebration takes place at home ;)
