It was my last day on set with Fashion Nova, tomorrow would be the first day of vidcon. I had desperately tried to avoid everyone in the hotel, it had slowly filled up with other YouTubers who were here for vidcon and thankfully that kept the others busy. I had enough going on with my own thoughts to even try be friends with anyone. I was sitting on set waiting for Antonio to fix the lighting when my phone buzzed in my pocket. I should have left my phone in my dresser, I wasn't needed urgently I decided to see what was up. It was Will calling, he had been out the night before so he was probably calling to complain about being hungover or to gloat about whatever he'd been up to. I just ignored the call just in time for Antonio to tell me to stand on my mark in front of the camera for the final outfit shots of the shoot. My phone kept buzzing.

"Khloe." Antonio snaps. "If you're not going to leave it in your dresser at least turn it off. Start taking this seriously!" He is one scary bloke so I don't hesitate to turn the phone off and slide it back in the pocket and think nothing more of it. A stupid mistake really.

As I'm leaving the set for the last time I see Will running towards me.

"Khloe! Why's your phone off I've been trying to reach you! We need to head to the airport" He says grabbing my arm.

"What why?" Instantly panicked.

"It's mum! She's phoned to tell me bad news."

"What!" I say instantly freezing in spot. Will yanks my arm not realising I've stopped before he spins round and stares at me before tears slide down his face.

"She's going to get an operation tomorrow."

"What operation?" I say my mind going a million miles an hour.

"She has to get lap-crow something. But I don't even know what it is we need to go be with her." Will is a sobbing mess on this pavement, I just pull him close and hug him.

"Did she say laparoscopy? I know she had that coming up this month, it's just a small key hole procedure. It's really good news she's getting that." I say rubbing his back. He doesn't speak but his body stop shaking as much so I continue just trying to diffuse his panic. "Laparoscopy is just when the make a little tiny incision instead of a big one. I was panicked when she told me at first, but think of these benefits, it's a smaller incision so it's faster recovery time, there's less bleeding than if it was a big procedure, it means the cancer tumours they want to look at aren't big enough to require a big surgery, which means it's got a higher percent of being treated and her pulling through. Mums just in the habit of letting me know every time she has an appointment and since telling you she has obviously kept that mentality and told you, she didn't mean to worry you. Now come on Will, we need to be strong." I'm not normally good at this comforting thing, I just thought if I went with facts I'd learnt off the NHS but tried to make it sound convincing and not like I was reading the pamphlet he might believe it more. "Oh piss off with your staring." I shout at the touristy passer bys who had stopped to stare at Will the massive giant leaning on my tiny frame crying his eyes out. This gets a small chuckle from Will. "You good now?" I ask gently.

"Yeah, I guess, I think because it's still a new thing in my life I'm still trying to process and come to terms with it fully. I think my brain just kind of shut down when she said operation." He smiles as we walk side by side towards the hotel. "So I do have some good news, vidcon organisers asked Stephen and I if instead of a panel we wanted to do a half hour section of TWOTI." He says smiling.

"No way I'm so proud of you!" I say.

"Yeah and we want you to feature in it." He grins at me as my mouth hangs open.

"What?"

"Well, this week on the internet you've blown up a lot, we'd be stupid not to talk about you!" He grins at me before shaking my shoulders and ruffling my hair. "You don't have to, but it be nice to do something together like this, proper brother sister goals." He says as we approach the doors of the hotel.
