"You were never what I wanted...but why do I like you so much?" He said to me. His voice tender and sweet. Something I had never heard before. It felt weird to see this side of him. He looked so vulnerable, so innocent.
So not him.
"What are you saying Ashton" I responded. My voice cracked a bit at the end. I didn't know how to respond to his honesty. I felt so awkward in this conversation. I sort of wished I had never met up with him today. I didn't want to face the fact that he liked me.
Like like like.
"I'm saying that I hate you but at the same time I love you so much." He answered in a hushed tone. Like he didn't want anybody to hear his secret. What is this? What is this side of him that scares me but also makes something bubble up inside me.
