I'm different now..

Chapter One, "Strays Often Get the best of you"

"Hey fatso! Over here!" Chat teased the villain as Ladybug bounced around, trying to find the way to capture the akuma. "Na-na-na-na-na-na" Chat kept leaping around like a frog, making Glaciator even more angry with the stray.

"Ugh stay still you stupid cat!" Glaciator boomed as he swung again at Chat. Ladybug was now looking around to a near by fallen motorcycle. "Chat Wait for my signal!" He called for his power as Ladybug took her lucky charm and created a sort of fan.

At her signal, the cat destroyed the bus that was lying down in front of them and made a hole through it. His lady set up the motorcycle and turned it on, attached the contraption to the vehicle and started it.

As the fan started blowing, Glaciator was slowly being blown away, revealing the ice cream man that was sat right before the two super heroes.

Ladybug opened her yo yo to purify the akuma, "no more evil doing for you, little akuma." She captured it and let it free, "Bye bye little butterfly." 

"Well we did it again m'lady." Chat gave her a wink and smirked a little. 

She held out her fist for him to give the usual 'Pound it', but received no answer. 

"Marinette!" Chat boosted himself off the ground, leaving to check on his princess. "That stubborn cat." She muttered to herself, wishing she could've been more persuasive in getting him to stay.

Ladybug swung her way to her own bakery's balcony and hoped Chat wouldn't get there before she de-transformed. When she landed on the balcony, Chat was still rushing across the city, she lept into her room and called off her heroine form.

Waiting for her kitty to be there, she sat down and started sketching. "Princess?" Chat slightly called, not waiting for a response as he dove into her room.

He saw her sitting there, with her face in the sketching book, he smiled at the relief she was ok. "Yes, Chaton?" 

She spun the chair around to face him and gave a subtle smile, "Nothing it's just that- uh- I mean-" he stood up straight, trying to regain his posture and manly tone in his voice.

"I wanted to make sure you weren't hurt."

"Thanks kitty. I can take care of myself you know." 

"Well what kind of Knight would I be if I didn't protect my princess?"He gave the usual cheeky smile and a wink.

For a moment of silence, they stared at each other. Not knowing what should be said or what should happen.

"Does the fair princess have time for a kiss?" He smiled, thinking it would work as she let out a giggle, "No-" She said regaining her posture, "Chat, first off, you know your tricks don't work on me-"

She stopped in mid sentence before turning her head to face the wall, "And Second, I like someone else."

The room filled with silence again.

Ladybug said that to me..

"Hey, a cat can dream, right?" Chat smiled as Marinette giggled. He loved to hear her laugh it's the best thing he has ever heard before.

She looked into his eyes as she noticed a light blush across his cheeks, "Kitty I-" She was stopped by a scream that led through the streets. 

"Ugh not again." Chat let out a sigh. "Well Princess I'll see you around." After giving a wink, Chat jumped off into the direction of the screams.

(Hehe time skip to after the fight cuz I'm lazy)

"Pound it!" The Cat and Bug Yelled out, pounding their fists together and celebrating their victory.

"Kitty! We did it again! That was a tough one." Ladybug was jumping up and down clearly happy that they beat the Copy Cat once again.

"Yes it was m'lady. I guess you'll have to be won m'lady." 

She stopped jumping and cheering and looked at the stray that was smiling his dorky smile, "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, every guy wants to be with you. Guess I got some competition, huh?" He chuckled and walked to the ledge of the roof they stood on, "Ladybug?"

She looked at her kitty with his now straight face, his smile gone and a frown on his once lighted face, "Yeah Chat?" 

"What do you really think of me?" She was surprised by this, he was one of her best friends and don't know why he would ask that.

"I think of you as a wonderful friend. You're always there for me, and trustworthy and loyal-"

He cut her off, "Just a friend?" Silence came back to regain its place between them. 

"For now kitty. For now." He lept up as their miraculous's beeped and went to hug his lady, "You really like me?" He had a grin on his face as Ladybug pushed him away and crossed her arms.

She opened one eye and looked at him, "Hm. Strays often get the best of you." She shrugged and let out a giggle, as Chat joined her.

It wasn't long before their miraculous's went off again, and they had to leave. As Chat made his way home, he was thinking about what Ladybug said.

He landed in his room, "Plagg, Claws in." 

Adrien fell on his bed, face first. "Plagg! She said I was just a friend!" The small cat heard a muffled call out to him.

Adrien sat up, "I'm not getting anywhere!" Plagg finished his piece of Camembert and started to laugh at the teenage boys messed up love life.

"Kid, be happy you're her friend. Because, who knows,  maybe you'll consider her just a friend too."

Plagg went to lay down, leaving Adrien to sulk alone, with his head spinning.

The young boy threw himself into his computer chair, staring at the window the computer was left on, which was a picture of ladybug, 

"One day m'lady. One day you'll fall for me."
