As I near the end of 'Fight Club', Luke's voice grabs my attention. "Jade, can you come downstairs for a sec? I want you to meet someone."

"Yeah, just a sec." I assure him, as he returns downstairs. Shutting my book and putting on my sneakers, I make my way downstairs and into the diner.

Looking for Luke, I find him talking with a dark-haired woman with piercing blue eyes. "Jade." he notices me, and beckons me to come over, and I comply.

"Jade, this is Lorelai Gilmore. Lorelai, this is Jade, my niece." Luke introduces us, as she extends her hand out for me to shake, which I do. "I've heard a lot about you." she tells me, smiling.

"Thanks, I haven't heard anything about you." I tell her, still sounding happy, making her chuckle. "I like her. She's fiery." I hear her not-so-discretely comment to Luke, who hides a smile.

"Jade, do you have any idea where your brother could be?" Luke asks, both curious and annoyed - something I think he'll sound like a lot when it comes to Jess.

"Depends, what time is it?" I ask, confusing them. "Why does that matter?" Luke asks, confused. "Well, depending on the time, he might be at the local crack house or the brothel. Maybe even a strip joint." I jokingly clarify, sounding completely serious, making Lorelai laugh. "I really like her."

Speaking of Jess, the bell of the diner rings as he enters, attempting to ignore Luke. "Jess, good. I'd like you to meet someone."

"Hey." Lorelai grabs Jess' attention. "Hi, I'm Lorelai. I just wanted to meet you before Luke had the chance to fill your head with all kinds of little lies about me." she explains, being cheery. "Hi."

"You know, you two should meet my son and daughter. They're about your age. They can show you where all the good wilding goes down." Lorelai explains, earning a nod from Jess. "Okay, uh... well, it's nice to meet you. I hope you like it here." Lorelai adds, earning another nod.

"So... class dismissed." Lorelai chuckles, still not use to Jess' non-verbal thing. Apparently the verbal thing comes-and-goes.

"So, Jess, was it the crack house or the brothel?" I ask jokingly, referring to my joke from earlier. "Burlesque club, actually." he jokingly corrects me, making me nod slowly in an amused manner, before he heads upstairs.

"So that's Jess." Lorelai comments, and Luke gives her a 'Yep'. "Very chatty." Lorelai adds, making me smirk, amused. "Jess is adjusting. We just got here, and he didn't want to move in the first place." I explain, grabbing the coffee pot and pouring myself a cup.

I turn around, sipping the coffee and they're looking at me expectantly. "What? I like coffee." I tell them, slightly irritated, making Lorelai crack a smile. "I really, really like her."

"Jess probably just realised there are 12 stores in this town devoted entirely to pedalling porcelain unicorns. I've lived in this town my entire life, I still can't believe it." Luke explains, making me chuckle.

"I'm sure that's it."

"He'll be fine in a few days."

"Hey, listen. I have a fabulous idea. What are you doing tomorrow night?" Lorelai asks, a mischievous smile on her face. "Why?"

"Why don't the two of you and Jess come over for dinner?" Lorelai suggests, making me purse my lips at the idea of Jess having a dinner with Luke, Lorelai, Lorelai's kids and me.

"Sookie will cook, Rory and Chris will be there. It'll be a little "Hey, welcome to Stars Hollow. And see? Everyone here is not straight out of a Fellini film" kind of an evening." Lorelai explains, making me smile at the reference.

"That would be nice. Thanks. Jade?" Luke agrees, before asking for my opinion. "Sure, can't say 'no' to free food."

"You won't bring up the beds?" Luke asks Lorelai quietly. "Oh, no, I'll definitely bring up the beds." Lorelai teases, making Luke walk away. "You better." I tell her, amused, making her chuckle, as I make my way upstairs, unknowingly missing Chris and Rory by just a second.

A/N: What do you think of this part? As you can see, Jade has the same humour as Jess and Lorelai, and the same coffee addiction as Lorelai, Rory and Christian. She also likes to read a lot like Jess, Rory and Chris. Comment what you think!
