After the two and a half hour bus ride from New York to Stars Hollow, the white and red bus comes to a halt at the bus stop in the small town where Jess and I are being shipped off to - all thanks to Jess and his lousy behaviour.

Grabbing our duffel bags, Jess and I nod to each other, before making our way off the bus, along with other passengers. Exiting the bus - Jess ahead of me - we are greeted with a middle-aged man wearing a backwards baseball cap and a flannel, sporting a forced-looking smile.

"Jess. Jade." he greets us, as I already feel the awkwardness between us. "Luke." we greet back, Jess' face void of emotion while I sport a small smile. Unlike Jess, I'm actually kind of excited to be away from New York and to live in a small town like Stars Hollow.

Luke awkwardly sighs, as we just stand outside the bus awkwardly. "Okay, so, uh..." he gestures to his right, before walking, while we follow his lead, looking around the small town that is Stars Hollow.

Making our way into a diner, the bell rings as we enter, making my smile grow slightly at the nice, classic feel to the place. "Well, this is my diner." Luke states, shutting the door behind us as my twin and I take in the scene - Jess looking bored while I'm impressed.

"Huh." Jess blurts out in acknowledgement like usual, making me roll my eyes, amused. "It's nice. I like it, Luke." I tell him, smiling, making him smile slightly, only slightly.

"It belonged to your grandpa." Luke adds, adding to the awkwardness between Jess and Luke. "Huh." Jess repeats, not interested at all, making me purse my lips, hiding an amused smile. "Yep." Luke adds, knowing how awkward this is right now, before showing us upstairs.

Entering the office that has been changed into a living space, I look around, satisfied.

"Well, here we are. It's pretty simple, you know. This is the room. That's my bed. Those are your, uh, beds for now, but the sheets are new. There's the bathroom, there's the closet, there's the dresser, the phone, and over there is the kitchen."

"I've got frosted flakes." Luke adds awkwardly. "Wow, that's grrrrreat!" Jess sarcastically comments, making me stifle a laugh.

"So, is that all your stuff?" Luke asks us, gesturing towards our duffel bags. "Yup." I answer for us, as Jess and I walk to our separate inflatable beds. "Well, not much there."

"Well, Lizzie's sending the rest later." Jess explains, as we open our duffel bags. "So, you need some help?" Luke asks, wanting to help which is quite thoughtful of him.

"Nope." Jess rudely declines, turning his duffel bag upside down and emptying it onto his bed. Luke looks at me expectantly, so I shake my head 'no', politely declining, making him nod at me in appreciation.

Sticking my hand into my duffel bag, I rummage through it and take out my copy of 'Fight Club' by Chuck Palahniuk and start lounging on my airbed, continuing from where I left off.

"Okay, uh... I have to get back to the diner. I'm gonna close up at 10:00 tonight, so I thought--" Luke goes to suggest, but Jess cuts him off. "See ya at 10:00."

"But wait, you need keys." Luke tries to tell Jess, as my twin starts to leave. "No I don't" Jess tells him, not glancing back, as he exits the room.

"I so don't wanna know why." Luke mumbles to himself, amusing me. "No, you do not."

"You not gonna go after him?" he asks, curious. "Nah. I think I'll just sit here for a while, read this again. Tell me if you need anything." I explain, making him nod in understanding, yet he's surprised at how different Jess and I are, before heading back down to the diner.

A/N: What do you think so far? I think I'll make Jade a mix of Jess, Rory and Lorelai, while Christian will be similar to Rory and Luke, with a bit of Lorelai also. Comment what you think.
