note: so taehyung has come back to korea for his last stop on tour, since that's his home country and whatnot. i didn't want to write a diary entry for this because i didn't feel it would have the right tone. enjoy!

{taehyung's pov, disband interview in seoul}

"bangtan soyeondan. we're glad you could join us for this interview. i'm sure it's emotional for you all, right?"

"definitely. seeing as we were together for around 5 years, we have forged some bonds that i don't think anything can break." namjoon answered. namjoon always answered. he was our leader, and one of the best ones i've ever seen.

"how did it feel when you stepped on stage for one of your last stops on tour knowing it was the end of bangtan?"

"crazy. emotional. i wish it could've lasted longer, but all good things come to an end." jimin said with a smile.

"so i imagine that you guys are breaking up for reasons other than military disbandment."

we were quiet for a few seconds.

"yeah. some of us are ready to move on. of course we still love each other and will support each other, but we think that each of us has found something that motivates us to move towards a better future together and apart." jungkook answered.

jimim and i looked at each other.

"any specific reasons?" the interviewer prodded.

"yeah. some of us have significant others now, so it's hard to divide time between us and the band." jimin nodded.

every person's eyes went wide at jimin's comment.

"jimin, no, this is live." i whispered under my breath.

"yes. this is true. we do have some significant others among us. we are proud to say that. army, we love you." namjoon tried to cover up what jimin said ever so slightly.

nice try namjoon, but the damage is done.

we tried to continue the interview as normal. 

"thanks for sitting with SBS news, bangtan soyeondan! see you around." they cut off the cameras and lights.

"really guys, good luck with your next endeavor. the whole world will support you." the interviewer got up and shook hands with us.

"so, looking to get married huh?" the interviewer asked.

we all laughed. but it was true.

"it's off the record, but i hope you'll make your significant others happy. good luck guys."

we walked out of the room together. but this is where we split apart.

"jimin-ah how could you say that on live tv! you know we weren't supposed to say that! twitter's going to go crazy!"

"i'm not ashamed of adriana."

"that's not what we're saying here."

"well i don't care. we shouldn't have to lie to our fans. they've provided us with everything and they deserve to know why we're breaking up."

"it's not that simple," yoongi hyung added.

we all went silent.

"yoongi hyung i—"

"no jimin, you did what you did without thinking. you knew what i had. you knew. you were being rash. you need to think about these things. maybe it's good with you, but you shouldn't make a decision for others."

"congratulations, park jimin. congratulations on finding the love of your life. congratulations on planning to buy the ring. i hope you live happily." yoongi walked out with his head held high, and a tear slipping down his face.

"what did i do?" jimin whispered to himself.

the rest of the members followed yoongi while i stayed behind with jimin.

"jimin i know you wanted to declare your love for addy but here and now was not the place to do it." i pat his back.

"i fucked up. big time."

"tell me about it. some of us have secrets that we're not ready to share."

"don't act all high and mighty taehyung. you shouldn't be proud of your past."

i was taken aback. "excuse me? seriously? i know you're pissed at yourself but how dare you say something like that to me."

he wiped his nose. "whatever. i'm sorry."

"that wasn't genuine. but i'm not going to kick you when you're already down."

"taehyung. i'm sorry. that was insensitive and you had your reasons. i'm sure you're going to be a great dad to your son."

"thanks. now get up, we have one more show to perform." i helped him up.

forgiving isn't forgetting. but i hoped that jimin would see that.
