Kim Taehyung POV

I cried.

I cried not because I wasn't sure whether the love of my life loved me back, but because she may never come back.

Jennie had been in the hospital bed, in a coma, for five days now.

And I was completely wasted.

The rest of Blackpink were waiting patiently beside Jennie, I was seated outside the room with Jin Hyung waiting beside me.

The doctor walked towards us, signaling to us he had news. Jin Hyung stood up and bowed to the man and took a glance at me.

I nodded at the doctor and hung my head low again.

"Good news," The doctor started.

"Miss Kim should be waking up in a matter of hours,"

"Really?" Jin Hyung excitedly asked as my head immediately perked up, "Is it okay to tell the girls?"

I didn't listen to the doctors next words, and stepped into the room with a wide grin.

"Did the doctor say something Tae-ssi?" Jisoo asked.

I vigorously nodded my head and responded, "She's going to wake up soon,"

"Unieeeeee!" Lisa cheered and squeezed her sisters hand.

I shuffled my feet and fiddled with my hands, "Can I stay with her for a bit?" I asked shyly.

"Of course!" Jisoo said, smile brightly at me.

"Um, I was kinda hoping-" I was interrupted by Lisa, who thankfully helped save me from an awkward moment.

"Unnie, I think he means alone." She whispered whilst pushing her older out the door.

"Oooh~ I see you TaeTae." Jisoo drawled while winking at me.

"Your welcome." She whispered, smirking at me.

"I owe you," I answered.

The door shut behind me with a click, I turned back to Jennie and started to speak my heart out to her.

"Jennie, I'm not sure if you even had time to comprehend what I said, but, I truly love you. I don't know if you feel the same, or if I'm just stupid for every telling you my feelings, but, I hope you know I'll love even if you don't." I chuckled bitterly before continuing, "Please wake up Jennie. The girls are falling apart and the first competition is in two days. Heck, I'm not sure if I'll stay sane any-longer."

While speaking, I hadn't noticed Jennie's fingers curl around my hand as I held it.

Letting  out a soft sigh, I looked at the sleeping beauty, I took another deep breath and added, "Doctor Seo said you'll wake up soon, and I guess I should let the girls in." As I was about to stand up, a soft voice stopped me, "Oppa, wait."

I turned to the girl I loved and saw her eyes flutter open.

She broke into a thoughtful smile and said, "I'd like to see the girls, but before you go, I like you too."

Her words changed my life, and the entire outcome of the Idol Academic Olympics.

Why? I guess you'll have to read our story in order to find out because folks, the rise hasn't even started yet...
