18 years before the beginning of the TV show, two pods flew down to earth. One in Cuba and one in a desert in Texas. There were two different types of aliens in the pods. When they were found by their soon to be family, they morphed to look similar to the human that they saw first. The two were both around five and that is where the similarities end.
