Chiyo

The last thing I wanted to see first thing in the morning was a shirtless Matthew sauntering out of Rin's bedroom. I was used to seeing him run around our house looking like a poster child for the gym, but it was disturbing to know how many nights he spent in Rin's bedroom. Matthew was incredibly hot, but a little too full of himself for my own liking. It was rather amusing that he thought he stood a chance in hell with Rin though. She had made it clear multiple times that he wasn't her boyfriend, their relationship was strictly friends with benefits. She wasn't interested in having anyone but our family trying to have a say in the business.

"Hey Chi, you're up early." He chuckled, walking over to greet me like we were old friends.

"Do you own a shirt, Matthew? Believe it or not, Rin is the only person in this house who wants to see you without clothes. And you don't get to call me Chi, It's Chiyo. Only those I trust call me Chi." I really wasn't a fan of him. I knew Rin was just wasting time with him and trying to not be lonely, but none of us cared for the guy. Especially Sehyoon.

"Whatever. You don't have to be a bitch about it."

"You can get the fuck out of my house now since your purpose has been served." I waved him off, waiting for him to get angry and stomp off. Yet he just stood there glaring at me.

"She told you to leave." Someone growled from behind me. I snickered when I heard Sehyoon, knowing just how much he and Matthew hated each other. "You don't live here, you are only welcomed here as a short term guest. This is our home and your invitation to be here is withdrawn for the day. Now hurry home until next time Rin asks to see you."

Matthew was pissed. He and Sehyoon had an argument almost every time he came to visit, but he could never win. Rin and I both backed Sehyoon up, saying he was our family and Matthew needed to treat him with respect. Not that he ever even bothered to try. I was waiting for the day Rin would finally cut him loose and we wouldn't have to deal with him any more. He was smart for once and chose to leave without another word, storming out of our house with a slam of the front door.

Sehyoon huffed and turned around to face me, looking annoyed as ever when Matthew had been around. "Donghun is here. He's waiting downstairs for you. You've been going out together a lot lately... are you sure you're able to handle it?"

"I'm not a sick kid anymore Sehyoon. Besides, Donghun will be with me and he won't let anything happen. If I show any symptoms he'll bring me straight home." He didn't believe me of course. No one believed me. They still saw a frail, broken little girl. Not the person I had become, not the damn backbone of this whole operation. I pat him on the head before descending the staircase, heading into the living room to meet my closest friend.

Donghun sat on our stiff white couch that I hated. Rin always said it was Hye-Youngs so we couldn't replace it and that it would force us all to not lounge around like monkeys. I still didn't like having a piece of furniture that we couldn't relax on. But every inch of our home, except our rooms, was decorated for us by Hye-Young. We had an appearance to keep up with anyone who was lucky enough to come into our home afterall. Donghun grinned as soon as he saw me, dressed in a sleek suit and hopping to his feet.

"Why is my little Chi still in her pajamas? Don't you know we have business today?" He teased, pulling me into a hug.

"I am a grown ass woman Donghun! We are the same age. Stop calling me your little Chi." I huffed. Even annoyed I couldn't refuse his hugs, he was so comforting for me to be around. "You didn't tell me you'd be here at the ass crack of dawn! Of course I'm still in pajamas. I just had to throw Rin's boy toy out of the house."
