It's comical, really. People don't exactly warn you about what the enemy is really like.
You just, well, figure who the enemy is by name, by mannerisms.
One doesn't get the - no is not allowed the chance to become close to the enemy, learn their side of the quarrel. Because, well, then the enemy isn't the enemy anymore.
The saying keep your friends close, but your enemies closer is complete bullshit.
Your enemies cannot be closer to you than your friends. If such a thing were to happen, your enemy is given the opportunity to harm you.
This is unacceptable.
So when I met Hermione Jean Granger, I proceeded to make myself her enemy.
And in doing so, I avoided ruining my reputation as a Pureblood for nearly six years. Until, of course, I began to meet the beautiful witch in secret.
But that is more near the end of this story.
So, please keep reading as I tell my tale.
This is the story of how I was changed for the better, by someone who ended up changing the world.
