I awoke from the best night sleep I had ever had, to the sound of a high pitched voice saying 'all passengers aboard flight 537381 please secure your seatbelts and turn off any electrical devices. We are landing very soon at LAx. Thank you'

I compiled with the stewardess, who seemed so happy to be here, turning off my phone and sliding it into pocket. I then sorted out my seatbeltabf looked out the window beside me.

It was beautiful.

I let out a content sigh, and looked back to directly infront of me. A bald man's head shining in the small, overhead lamps. I chuckled softly, and grabbed the sliver crucifix that hung around my neck.

"I'm going to do it. I'm going to make, just for you two, papa and nana. I promise you" I whispered surley to my self.

I wandered cluelessly around the streets of LA. It was substantially warmer than London, but that being said, it was August.

I let out an experated sighted undid the zipper of my hoodie. God it was hot.

I decided my first stop was the estate agents, to find an apartment to live in. Then to find a job in a coffee shop or something. Just to get me started.

I looked down every highstreet, every road, getting lost more than a few times before I decided to ask someone for directions.

I walked up to a group of boys, who looked fairly harmless and tapped one of them on the shoulder. He spun around looking slightly confused. But a small smile broke onto his tanned face. He was rather beautiful. He had amazing greeny-hazel eyes, a mop of brown curly hair and a very defined face shape, his cheekbones rather prominent.

"what's up?" his Australian accent was amazing. I shuffled awkwardly.

"um, I was wondering if you knew where the estate agent is." I spoke carefully, trying not to fumble my words and avoiding eye contact.

"uh, yeah, sure! It's just down that road there, make a left and then you should see a blue building. That's it" the boy was making hand action as he spoke. I listened intently.

"okay thank you" I smiled shyly and began to walk away.

"Wait!" I heard the boy shout. I turned around, a blush hinting at my cheeks.

"what's your name?" he asked

"uh,its, um, AJ" I said

"I'm Jai" the boy smiled " this is Beau, Luke, James and Daniel, but we call him skip" he pointed to each boy inturn. They all smiled and said hey. I waved sheepishly.

"hi"

"so, we'll see you around?" Jai asked.

I shrugged "Maybe"

The boys smiled, "see you later, AJ"

" bye" i waved lightly before heading down the road, following the directions Jai had given me.

Soon I found the place I was looking for and wandered in.

*****

This place was perfect, it was a decent sized 2 bedroom apartment, just down the road from Starbucks.

"It's $150 every two months, very good deal if you ask me" the young man showing me around spoke.

I nodded "I'll take it, when can I move in?"

"Straight away if you want, we'll just have to go back for my office, sign the papers, get the keys and you're good to go."

Everything was coming together slowly, I had made some friends, I think anyway. I had a place to live, all that's left to do was get a job.
