14 - Katy

Jungkook pov*

I arrived to work today, expecting Yeri to be in my office to greet me and tell me my schedules for today. But she wasn't there, I checked her office, she wasn't there too.

I asked her 'close' friend, Eunha but she just rolled her eyes and left. I then went to ask Nayeon, she said that she called in today, saying she's sick.

I thanked her and went back to my office. I sat down on my chair and went back to work

After working on a project with one of the investors, I checked the time, it was dinner time. Before I left the office, I checked my email where there was a new message from Yeri.

"Letter of resignation"

My eyes widen, jaws drop and heart sank. I clicked onto the message, hoping it wasn't what I think it is.

Out of anger, I looked through Yeri's information paper to find her house. I ran out of the building, got into my car and sped all the way.

As I arrived I got out of the car and walked through an street market alley to get to Yeri's house. Without thinking about the people walking around me, I bumped into someone. It was a lady.

"Sorry"

I froze, she sounds like Yeri. Before she could walk away, I grabbed her wrist, making her look at me, I was right it is Yeri. Her eyes widen, her reaction was so cute but it isn't the right time to be distracted.

I pulled her towards a street bar and ordered a glass of soju.

"I need explanation NOW"

Yeri pov*

I could tell he was angry by his facial expression and tone of his voice. I was honestly scared but kept my composure.

"I don't think I need to explain anything, you read the email"

"Oh, so you think just me reading the email will be enough ha! Tell me, your quitting this job because of your PAST that your not willing to tell me!"

He was right, why did I let my personal life interfere with my work life. Before I could say anything back, he cut me off.

"And you haven't answer my question a few days ago. How did you get the nickname Kookie!?!"

"Yes, I'm quitting this job because of my past and I don't think I need to explain to something about ME to YOU. I have every right to keep my private life to myself! To answer your nickname question, I made it up! Okay! Now please accept my resignation letter and I'll be taking my leave Mr. Jeon"

I walked away, furious, I wanted to punch something. But as soon as I got far away from the place, tears fell down my face. I ended up sobbing on my way to home and the whole night.

I'm sorry for being so mad for a useless reason and for yelling at you. I know you will hate me and probably would never work for me again. I'm truly sorry ...
