Type: sad. You might cry 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ever since he got back from space he was miserable. He thought him and Nebula have gotten closer since being stuck on that spaceship. And he was right, but he's been avoiding her. He's been avoiding everyone.

Everyone was gone, he had failed. Tony looked out of the window to see the whole city under him. No one was on the streets, everyone in their house. The wound was too raw for them. For all of them.

"Boss, Pepper Potts approaching," Friday informed him, but he was to into his own thoughts to care. He heard the taping of the code being entered. The door creaked open, something he was going to get fixed before Thanos. But since the whole... snap, he didn't seem to care.

"Tony, do you want to come out of your lab and come eat dinner with me?" She asked this almost every single day. His answer always the same. Tony didn't reply, just stared out the window.

Pepper sighed. She knew what he was thinking about, but how could anyone not know? She walked over to her boyfriend putting her hand in his shoulder. Tony immediately flinched away. He didn't deserve it, he didn't deserve her. He failed to do the job he promised, to protect the world. God he even failed to protect-

God, he couldn't even think his name. It hurt too much.

"Tony..." he flinched again. Her voice was so... sweet. He turned away from the window to look at Pepper.

His eyes were swollen, as if he's been crying for days. They were red and the bandages from his none-healed wounds were ripped off. He took them off when he got back from the compound a few days ago. Pepper wondered if they were going to be infected. She walked over to the other side of the room and took out the first aid kit.

Tony just stared at the spot where Pepper once stood. Pepper rushed back in front of Tony and opened the white box with the red cross on it. She put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and started dabbing it on his cuts. Tony winced at the pain, his numbness wearing off.

"Happy came by and dropped off these files," Pepper said and glanced at some files she set down while Tony was looking out the window.

Tony didn't reply, he looked over at the tan files that were stuffed to the max. He didn't care what was in them. Probably letter from complained families. Didn't they know that he was also going through the same exact thing?

"They're letters from kids," woah, how nice of people make their kids send the letters. That'll make it sting, huh? Unless the kids were the ones who lost their parents...

"Tony. They're nice letters from through out the years" Pepper said once she saw Tony's reaction.

When she left him alone, he didn't touch the letters. Heck, he didn't touch them for days. But after a long time of no sleep, he walked over to them.

He picked it up, starting with A, A.

It's been a week. He's been going through all the letters, writing back to almost all of them. He pulled out another letter. It's was a paper envelope with an Ironman stamp on it. He almost smiled at this. He felt guilty that he didn't read any of these before. Not one single one.
