The lost one - A Rainbow Six Story

Chapter 1 : Arrival

2 June 2019

SAS Hereford base

Time : 1600

Telecom : Sergeant White please report to Lieutenant Baker's office.

Kyle POV

"Ah shit . Here we go again." I said to myself. Recent encounters with Lieutenant Baker had all been bad. He seems to always make fun of me. Well, better find out what he is going to say to me this time.

Tension start building up since the second Kyle has entered the room. The two of them never spat out a word. 

??? : Come on!  Are we going to stay like this forever?

Baker : Oh sorry Mr. Pandy, things has not been going well between the two of us lately.

Harry : Hi, Mr. White . I am Six,  leader of Team Rainbow. I am sure you have heard of us.

Kyle : .....

Harry : Not speaking, huh?  As long as you get along with our operators this would never be a problem. 

Kyle : Excuse me, what is going on here?

Baker : Oh! I forgot to tell you. You have been recruited into Team Rainbow, a counter-terrorism organization which has amazing soldiers from all around the world. And you will be leaving in...... Umm , 10 minutes.

Kyle : Can I go back to my dorm to pick up my things before I leave?

Baker : Sure.

Harry : We will be waiting for you on the runway.

Time skip :  18:30

 New Rainbow HQ , Manchester , England

Harry : Here we are ! THE new Rainbow HQ. We have everything you need, ranges from a cafeteria to a fully functional battle simulator . Hi, James! Meet Kyle.

James : Hello. I am James, or also known as the operator " Smoke ".  The new helicopter was so quiet that I didn't even heard it when it arrived. Nice purchase, Six.

Harry : To be fair, it isn't a purchase as it was a gift from the US army. How about you show our new recruit Kyle our new base?

James : Sure.  Let me show you around the new base!

The two started started walking towards the new base. 

James : I heard that you are also from the SAS as well, right? Is the douchebag Lieutenant Baker still there?

Kyle : You know about him ?

James : Of course! He is known for being a douchebag to his soldiers in the SAS. How could I not know about him during my times in the SAS? 

Kyle : I guess that's right.

The two continued walking in the new base. The base is so much better than the old one. At least, things don't break on a regular basis. The two ended the walk outside James 's dorm.

James : And that concludes the tour. Unfortunately, no extra dorms are left so you will be crashing with me! I have always wanted a roommate.  Is that ok for you?

Kyle : Never been better.

James : A extra bed is added on the other side of the room. Feel free to enjoy yourself like you're at home. I am going to the cafeteria now for dinner. Want to join me?

Kyle : No thanks. I am really tired after the flight so I might just sleep til the next day.

James : Whatever you want mate.

Kyle is the only one left in the room.  After a shower , he began unpacking his clothes and guns to nearby drawers.  Suddenly, he stops. He picks up a picture of him and Charlotte when they were celebrating Kyle's 18th birthday. More and more memories start to appear in his mind, they really had a great time together when they were young. 

Kyle : I really missed you, Charlotte. I hope we can meet again someday.

Saying that, Kyle fell asleep.
