Chapter 4

It's been two weeks and all I did was party, school, smoking and taking lots of more other stuff. I didn't know you can be this addict at something when you can't live without it for a few days. Luke and Sara always yelling that I should stop hanging out with Lucas and that he is a bad friend and that they are not gonna keep talking to me. Mom, dad and Nina don't know anything when they call I act like everything is normal and with Nina, I keep it short besides I'm more out than at home, I just shower change outfit and sleep.

I know I am doing wrong but I'm feeling happy and shit I needed that "hey, you ready to go?" Lucas stopped me from my thoughts, we are going to a party again "yeah let's go I ring Luke or Sara telling them that we going for them" he nodded and I followed him outside to the car.

I dialled Sara's number and she picked up with the third ring "hey love, we are on the way" she sighed "we're coming out, Val I have a bad feeling for tonight it's like something is gonna happen" I laughed "oh Sara nothing is gonna happen, now bye we be there in five. Love you" with that I hung up and looked at Lucas "you brought right?" he nodded "I'm still not into the way of you as a seventeen turning eighteen taking these kinds of things" I sighed didn't say anything.

We arrived at the party a few minutes ago and we are already taking shots "LET'S DANCE" Sara yelled grabbing my hand and pulled me to the dance floor "imagine if we got caught by our parents" Sara said laughing "I will be dead and if they knew everything? bury me already, thank god Nina only knows not everything but still she's not like dad and mom" I replied dancing "cheers to the studying" we both burst out laughing continue dancing.

Four hours into the party and I am feeling like I need air, maybe cause I smoked and took too much stuff and didn't drink water "hey, I'm going out for air" I told them "you look pale! like you gonna pass out. What did you take?" "I don't know the normal stuff I take but there was this one that it was different, I --" I didn't finish the sentence that I was on the ground passed out.

*Sara POV*

"VAL WAKE UP! WHAT DID YOU GIVE HER?" I yelled shaking her, she's pale and her pulse is low "I didn't give her nothing! she took them from me" Lucas said splashing her face with water "the ambulance is coming, Sara, she's going to be fine" Luke said from next me. The loud music stopped and everyone is trying to help but I just looked at my best friend tears coming down "don't die, I need you! me, Luke and everyone" shaking her "sorry miss but I have to tell you to move a bit so we make her on the stretcher" I sobbed hugging Luke "I'm going with her, Luke come with us" running behind the paramedics people.

It's been two hours and we heard nothing from them, Nina is here and her parents are going to be here soon from New York. I didn't stop crying and praying to god for her to live "we tried to tell her to stop Nina she didn't want to listen" "I know that you tried, why she did this she has a beautiful life in front of her" I hugged her "she will be fine, she's strong" I said and with that silence came in the room.

"Family's of Valentina Brooks?" we all sit up "we're her best friends and she's her un-biological auntie she lives with her, how is she?" Luke said "she's okay it wasn't easy, she mixed pills with the white powder and weed from her blood results she's been doing this for a few weeks and she drank more alcohol than water so she became dehydrated and what was she was taking wasn't doing pretty much but destroying her more quickly. She's asleep we cleaned as much as we can from her stomach, due she's only seventeen antidrug centres is going to come in this case but for that we need her parents present" thank you god that she's not dead I said in my mind "can we go see her?" Nina said sniffing "you can go in but she needs rest, she needs to thank god that she's still alive. You can follow me to her room" Dr Henry said and with that, we all followed him. I pulled Lucas by his hands "if you plan to be her friend you need to stop doing stuff in front of her or giving her something or if you do that I swear to god I tell the police" and with that, I walked past him following the others.

As I walked in the room she was laying there flat sleeping with a wire attached to her for the IV and the other one for the heart monitor "oh my Val" Nina whispers sitting next to her grabbing her hand "she's so pale, but thank god she's alive" I said sitting next to Val on the opposite site of Nina "um I have to go it's seven am and I have a customer coming in at eight and I need to shower and all" Lucas said "we call you when she wakes up, we gonna let her sleep for now till her parents comes" Luke said and he nodded saying see you later and with that he left.

An hour later her parents bust in the room "where's my child" Christina her mother said "my baby, what happened?" grabbing her hand "she's awake and doing good and um she was taking drugs and --" Rio her dad cut Luke off "DRUGS?!" Luke nodded and I decided to explain the rest. "She's in so much trouble for drugs, partying and oh my god how can she did this to us!?" her mother said "the antidrugs are coming in this that's what the doctors said and I am so so sorry I didn't take good take care of her" Nina said tears coming down "it's not your fault Nina" Rio told her "now what? Do we have to let her wake up by herself?" I nodded and they said they will go talk to the doctor and come back after.

*Valentina POV*

I was hearing everything that my mum said to my best friends to Nina, I am in so much trouble but It is basically my fault.

I opened my eyes slowly and groan "Val?" I heard my mum next to me said grabbing my hand "mom" was all I said looking at her "I'm sorry please forgive me you and dad forgive me" I said voice cracking "shh shh we forgive you only if you listen to us from now on" I nodded and turn my head and look at the others, my dad best friends and Nina "I love you guys so much I'm sorry I didn't listen to you Sara and Luke and Nina sorry for lying and dad for disowning you" tears coming down "I was having fun I felt like I am me again but I guess I took it too far that I become enjoying the feeling and couldn't be without it" I finished looking down to my hands "I am angry at you but you didn't disown us now I am gonna go tell the doctor that you are up, okay?" I nodded and he kissed my forehead and left.

"Lucas said he is coming later he had work," Sara said, "who's Lucas?" I looked at them than at Nina and then at mom "he's my friend we met at a party" I told her "he better not be the one that started this drug thing" I stared at her and shook my head no, even though I was lying a bit "good or I swear to god I kill him" I didn't say nothing I just looked at Luke and Sara.

"So the doctor said you need to stay here till tomorrow so they make sure you are okay and also when you come out from here you have an appointment at the anti-drug office" dad said sitting down, Luke and Sara left to go take a shower and eat a bit and come back after same goes to Nina "okay but um can I sleep? I'm really tired" I said with tired voice "sure hun we are gonna be here when you wake up," mom said kissing my hands and I smiled closed my eyes.

Let's hope I don't get the craving for those again, cause now I know how life is first you here then god knows where. That was the last thought that I had in my mind and with that, I was pulled into a peacefully sleep.
