Character features
Always try state the physical appearance at the beginning of the meeting so readers don't create a vision of a different person in their head. If you state that a character has black hair after eight chapters of knowing them, a reader may have imagined them with red hair and it will be hard to manipulate the image.Characters need flaws!
Don't describe only the good things about a character. Personality and emotion can be displayed through flaws like:
Chewed fingernails
Always playing with hair
Sweating
Chipped tooth
