A day later, I woke up. I was in a hospital, but was told that I just needed to be checked for a concussion. Hiro, Honey Lemon, Go Go, Fred, Wasabi, and Aunt Cass were there, and they all looked very grim.
"Tadashi?" Was the first word out of my mouth when I woke up and didn't see him there. I got a hug from Cass because she knew how I was going to feel. "He... He wasn't in the building, was he?"
"He's gone," Hiro said from his dark corner.
"Hiro, I'm so sorry," I tried to get up, but when I tried to stand, there was nothing attached to my ankle where my fake foot normally was. "Okay, where's my foot?"
"You're missing a foot? I didn't know the explosion did that much damage to you," was Hiro's bland response.
"Not the explosion, lost it when I was five. My fake foot," I smirked slightly before getting Wasabi to help me over to Hiro before I sat next to him. "Hiro, this can't be easy for you. First your parents, now your brother. I don't understand what you're going through, but I would like to help."
"You can't help me, Neva," he just pushed me away.
"Then why are you here? You could have stayed home."
"Aunt Cass made me come."
"Well, that's not my fault, now, can I try to help?"
Hiro just shrugged at me. "Whatever."
I just hugged him, trying to help him. He just started crying into my shoulder, which let me attempt to help.
