Days, most likely weeks, passed. My body was scarred and torn to shreds. I felt afraid. I haven't left this house since I arrived, and for the most part, I remained locked inside of this bedroom.
Shivers ran up my spine.
Pushing myself out of the grimy bedsheets, I started towards the door. A quick feel through my tangled hair was enough to inform me that I needed another shower. Scrunching up my nose slightly, I placed my shuddering hand on the ice cold doorknob. Minutes passed as I stood frozen in fear.
Would he be here? What if he found me in the shower?
I squeezed my eyes shut to stop more tears, my beating heart a reminder that I needed to make an attempt to escape. Even if it made no difference, I at least did not want to die here.
I pulled open the door and was greeted by silence. Air passed my lips as relief touched my chest. Quickly, I hurried into the nearby bathroom and locked it. Without hesitating, I turned on the water and stepped under it; I - unfortunately - had no clothes to peel off.
Water pelted against my back and legs. It was still very cool, so I trembled lightly. Nevertheless, I felt gracious for this moment. As I enjoyed the comforting shower, I thought deeply. It was more like plotting an escape plan, but it was more assuring to believe that these were normal thoughts.
I knew the layout of the house fairly well. I was also aware of the times that the sick human would return; unfortunately I had no nearby clocks. I had to walk downstairs if I wanted to risk the chance. Sighing, I filled my hand with shampoo and vigorously rubbed it into my hair. Pain touched my arms gently as the chemicals mixed into cuts and scratches. I hissed softly.
Within approximately ten minutes, I finished. The showerhead was off, and I stood facing the mirror with a blank expression. There I stood, looking filthy despite my furious attempts at cleansing myself of the dirt and grime sludged on me. It was possible that it was due to me not using hot water I guess.
I couldn't keep staring. I had to move.
Turning off the lights and exiting the bathroom, I made my way back to the bedroom. My hair dripped water everywhere, so I picked up a random piece of clothing from the floor and wrapped my hair into it. I winced, considering the fact that this article of cloth most likely was covered in slobber and snot.
A door slammed. I jumped, immediately running back into the bed. I used the covers to hide my wet body and pretended to sleep. Shockingly though, I heard two voices.
"I swear! It's only me here," the familiar man seems to assure with a worry laced tone. He was lying.
A deeper, fluid, and accented voice growled, "Is that so?" I flinched in fear. They sounded as if they would do more than rape someone...
Crying out quietly, I let my body fall loose.
"What's that noise?" the stranger inquires. "What noise?"
"It sounds as if a female is crying..."♡♡♡
My body trembled as I hid under the bed. I tried my best to not let any whimpers escape my mouth, but it was difficult. All I saw were a pair of combat boots walking around the room.
"I swear I heard it..." the voice hissed. They stepped closer to the bed and I froze, eyes wide. I silently begged that they wouldn't glance under the furniture. Who knows what they would do?
They stood stiff and quiet.
My heart rate quickened.
"Someone is in here," they started. "Tell me whom it is." My captor stutters a pathetic response like, "There is-isn't anyone in here. I promise." His words almost caused me to scoff, though I quickly reminded myelf to stay silent.
The stranger crouched.
No, no, no! I begged and pleaded silently that they stop looking. Maybe that something distracts them... I felt petrified.
But as it usually goes, my hopes went unheard and uncared for.
Squelching a cry of panic, I shut my eyes and covered my naked body. Even with me forcing myself into a corner, I felt strong arms pull me out from underneath. I remained in a ball, eyes shut.
"And so, whom, do you say, the hell is this?" the stranger asks darkly. I flinch.
Help me.
