You carefully put down the cup of noodles you were holding and turned down the TV in witch one of your favorite k dramas was playing to then pick up your phone.
"Hello?" You say, still swallowing the noodles in your mouth.
On the phone: ??: Is this Miss Lee Y/n? You: "Yes this is her?" ??: "I am Kim Namjoon from Seoul Mental Institute and I am calling in regards to your job application." You: ... Yes? Namjoon: Well, you have been approved for the job as a nurse. When can you start so we can send you your schedule? You: Tomorrow! I mean... I can do tomorrow..
You can hear the man lightly chuckle on the other side of the phone line at your statement.
Namjoon: "Okay, tomorrow is great. We will send your new schedule to the number you provided on the application". You: "Okay, thank you!" Namjoon: "See you tomorrow then, Ms. Lee." You: "You too, and you can just call me y/n, I'm not too good with formalities." Namjoon: "Its alright, see you then y/n."
You smile at the other end of the phone before hanging up.
"Yes yes yes! Finally! I finally have a real job!"
You stand up and look at your pile of bills as if they were a real person.
"Ha, you'll be gone within a few months. Take that!"
You say, as if they can hear you
"Hm, maybe I'm the crazy one"
The next day
At the Seoul Mental Hospital:
You walk into the institute, in full awe. In no way did you think this place was going to be this big. Movies make mental institutions seem like they are all white boxed up rooms, but this was nothing like that. As you walk down the hall you see a glass walled room with chairs and people in all white baggy clothes and socks sitting down either drawing, making crafts, or talking with each other and the staff.
This isn't at all what I thought a mental institute would be...
You hear footsteps from the end of the hallway and it's a tall man with a white coat and black jeans coming your way.
??: "You must be the new nurse, Y/N? Right?" YOU: "Yes..? And you are?" ??: "Oh yeah, I'm Kim Namjoon. The one you talked to on the phone yesterday." YOU: "Oh, Namjoon. It's nice to meet you." You smile and he takes out his hand and you politely shake it as you smile at each other.
Wow, I didn't notice he had dimples..
Namjoon: "Glad to see your on time. I'll take you to the back where I'll explain your job a little bit more, the work attire, and show you around the facility." He gives me a warm, assuring smile. Namjoon: "Follow me, please."
