The day had started relaxingly enough. Artemis and (Y/N) had taken a vacation to a nearby lake where they had spent most of their time either lounging on the shore, Artemis, or swimming, (Y/N), as it was nearing around three in the afternoon the two were under an umbrella that they'd stuck in the sand.

"Hey Artemis," (Y/N) began, "Y'know there's no one here. And you haven't really been affectionate as of late."

"Love, I've been busy. You know that." He answered wrapping an arm around her shoulders pulling her closer to his side. "Though I do love these moments of ours."

Just as the two got comfortable, a phone started ringing. The two figured out rather quickly that it was Artemis's and he picked up. (Y/N) just rolled her eyes. This always happened, whenever the two had a moment alone something interrupted them. And he never protested.

"You'd think with being one of the most powerful men in the world you'd know how to decline a call." (Y/N) sassed, she was beginning to get fed up with this constantly happening.

He just shot a playful glare at her and continued the conversation on the phone. It seemed the two would never get a peaceful moment together.
