Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Natsu Vs (Y/n) and Erza

~Lucy's pov~

As I wrote down the previous events in the letter to my mother about Fairy Tail, I froze after hearing someone question, "What's that?" Jumping in surprise I turn around, in both (Y/n) and (E/n) in my apartment sitting on my sofa, both with (F/p) and a bottled drink. Instead of wearing her causal armor, (Y/n) wore a loose white t-shirt with a pair of ripped (F/c) shorts, on her hip laid her katana in its' sheath. Looking at (E/n), she now had a pair of black shorts, with a cute (S/f/c)-colored shirt, with a matching bow at the end of her tail.

However, before I knew it I spaced out, (Y/n) pulling me out of my thoughts asking, "Lucy, you ok?" "Y-yeah, I was just curious where your sword's been," I quickly somewhat lie, but actually wondering where her beloved sword has been. "Oh, I usually don't bring it on jobs anymore," She states simply, taking it out of the worn-out leather.

"If I'm being honest, this isn't really the same sword my sister gave to me, " She adds, carefully handling to me. Hoping that I'm not overstepping any boundaries, I put up my hands trying to ask, "W-what do you mean-" "Mira, she told me that she explained to you a bit of my past." She cuts me off, motioning to the Katana once more. "Back when we were all kids, (E/n) and I went to the bar to go grab a few drinks," She began to tell, however, as she said drinks, (E/n) spoke up saying, "It was just (F/d),"

Nodding in understatement, I let (Y/n) continue her story, "Well, Natsu and Gray were fighting like usual, and somehow managed to snap the blade in half." Listening to her say that, I look down at the shining blade in my hands, I begin to feel a pit of nervousness in my stomach, silently praying that I wouldn't manage to break it as well.

"Before I could see it, however, both Erza and Mira stopped their little fight and saw what happened, deciding to try to fix it. Mind you that we were still waiting for our drinks," "Next thing anyone knew, Erza had sacrificed one of her magic weapons so that Natsu could melt it, " "However, what they didn't know was that her old sword was already broken, " (E/n) laughed, before taking a bite of pastry. "Wait, what?" I asked, "Yeah, when I was a kid, I wasn't the most cautious person, " "More like you were the most reckless," (E/n) deadpanned, causing the (H/c)-haired mage to chuckle nervously.

"Yeah, I didn't tell them that I broke on a previous job. I was going to take it to a smith shop, but next thing I knew they handled me it completely fixed, as each of them apologized." "I still remember their shocked faces, after we told them," (E/n) added, as the two gently hit their bottles together muttering a small 'cheers'. "That seems like something they'd do," I nod, but not convinced that Mira would fight Erza like (Y/n) mentioned. "However, before the metal was from a magic sword, it's now able to change depending on what magic I control through it." (Y/n) states, setting down her finished cup onto the place holder.

"Hey (Y/n)?" I questioned, I heard her ask before she could take a bite of her (F/s), "Yeah?" "I was wondering, how come you seem a bit more friendly with me?" I asked her, causing her to pause and look at me. "Well, I guess after I saw you for you," She began, after she swallowed her treat, from her light explanation, I knit my eyebrow not fully understanding. "You care for your friends, and while you do complain and whine more than I like. You have heart and are willing to fight for yourself, and I respect that," She finished, a smile now resting upon her lips.

"Also, I think you should get ready Lucy," Said (Y/n), looking at her confused, however before I could ask she added chuckling, "Natsu's going to fight both me and Erza," "What?!" I shout, not actually expecting Natsu to try to fight the almost unstoppable pair.

"That's why you should hurry up, Erza can only handle him alone for so long." She adds, before both (E/n) and her walk out the door saying, "We'll wait for you, " "I'll be there in a minute!" I call back, before rushing to throw on decent clothing.
