Chapter 12: Moon Drip

~Gray's pov~

"Wait Gray, how are you sure that this is the same monster?" Natsu asked as he places a hand on my shoulder. Slapping his hand away, I reply with, "I'll always remember the face of the creature that murdered so many innocent people," "But, how did it end up here?" Happy questions, as I silently ask myself the same thing.

Does this Cold Emperor not know the horrors that Deliora is responsible for? Or do they just not care? Shaking my head, I brush away these thoughts, knowing stressing isn't going to get me anywhere. "I wouldn't be surprised if this thing has something to do with the curse," "Wait, but isn't it dead?" "No, that thing is still alive," I answer the blonde's question, which causes the dragon slayer to excitedly shout, "Cool!"

As he says that however, the idiot lights his fist with flames. Knowing exactly what he was planning on doing, I punch him in the face, shouting at him, "Are you insane?" "That thing is the cause for so many deaths and yet you want to try to burn it out?" I continue to question, as I recall the horrors that that demon caused. Instead of arguing with me, Natsu stands back up saying, "As if that is would be that easy to melt if it was it would have escaped by now,"

Realizing the usually idiotic male was right for once, I shift my attention to the ground, now wondering who in their right mind would willingly bring the ice demon here to resurrect it. "Gray, are you alright?" Lucy questioned from behind me, causing Natsu to stare at her mouth gapped, as he shouts, "You're more worried about him when he's the one to punch me in the face!" "It was probably karma for always being so reckless," Happy states, causing Natsu to fume while asking, "Whose side are you on, Happy?"

Ignoring their mini lovers' quarrel, I glare up at the frozen demon, saying, "Years ago, my master sealed away that demon, sacrificing her life," "Yet someone is going to ignore her sacrifice and try to resurrect it," I add, clenching my fist in anger at the mere thought of someone blatantly forgetting the horrific events that it caused.

"Maybe they do know the story, they could just be wanting to try to become famous for killing such a destructive monster?" Lucy suggests as we all try to rake our brains over the newfound information. Thinking over Lucy's belief, I couldn't help but think back to when I was younger. Ur providing me food, water, and shelter. Also teaching me how to use magic, and cared for me.

Without realizing it, tears already began to slip from my eyes. "Gray, are you ok?" I heard Happy ask, hastily wiping my eyes, I respond, "Of course I am, I'm fine," Able to feel his uncertainty, I turn towards the exceed saying, "Really, I'm fine, I'm just remembering the past," "Maybe I can summon one of my spirits," Lucy offers, turning my head I see her carefree smile. "Her singing always manages to make me-" The blonde-haired girl tries to say, however, I shake my head saying, "No, we need to stay quiet,"

"What's that?" I heard a crew member questioned, confused and curious by their interest in the water, I lean over the side of the ship. Narrowing my eyes suspiciously, as I feel the presence of something large was heading straight towards us, a huge wave behind the creature. "Requip!" I shout, allowing my outfit to change into my water dragon armor.

As my armor changed, the sudden desperate feeling of needing water broadening as I stare at the typhoon nearer us. "There's something out there!" The lookout shouts to me, nodding my head, I wait. Trying to hone in on the movements of the unknown being, as the monstrous wave nears us.
