Michael's POV
"That infuriating little-" I grumble, stalking away from that ridiculous Fallen Angel and her human friend.
Her maddening sea green eyes flicker at the edge of my mind hauntingly, glittering with mischief and cunning and framed by thick onyx black lashes that brush the tips of her cheekbones when she blinks.
"-ichael? Michael! Pay attention for once in your immortal life." Gabriel shouts, flicking my ear.
I growl and punch his shoulder. "What the fuck do you want?" I snarl.
Gabriel huffs and motions to where Rogue and Alice are standing and talking. "I was saying that Rogue really isn't the worst of the Fallen, and I was wondering why the Archangels seem so adamant about us watching her. Do you have any ideas?" he asks, tilting his head in question.
"Nope. All I know is that the Archangels told us to watch the little pain in the ass." I reply, now watching as Rogue embraces her girlfriend, Thorn, who just walked up to Rogue moments ago.
I feel an unwanted pang of jealousy in my chest as I watch Thorn nuzzle her head into the crook of Rogue's neck.
"Michael? Your jealousy is showing. Chill with the glaring." Gabriel chuckles, patting my back lightly.
"Bite me." I grumble.
"No thanks. You might bite back and I don't wanna get rabies." he fires back.
I sigh at my friend's antics and wonder aloud, "What did I ever do to get stuck with you as a friend?"
Gabriel chuckles and replies, "Don't know, but what would you do without me?"
"That, is a very good question. Here's another one, why are you so interested in little Alice?" I respond, flicking my eyes in her direction with a smirk.
"Don't know. She just so innocent and pure, which is a rare thing in and of itself. She brings out the better in people. I mean look at Rogue. When she first Fell, she wanted the world to burn. Now because of Alice, she seems almost content. Plus, Alice is a gorgeous person and that's definitely a bonus. Her eyes are like frozen flames."
"Wow. You've thought about her a lot, haven't you?" I ask, blinking at my blonde friend in astonishment.
He nods and smirks. "So why are you so attracted to Miss Rogue? And don't say you're not, because it's so obvious that you do indeed like her."
"First of all, since when did we become girls who discuss their feelings? Secondly, I honestly don't know. She's just so...bright, despite being a Fallen Angel." I reply, shrugging.
"Since when are girls the only ones who can discuss their feelings?" Gabriel wonders.
"Not my point, but okay."
"Hey Gabriel!" a sweet voice calls. Gabriel and I turn around and see Alice jogging in our direction with Rogue and Thorn walking behind her, both with knowing smirks plastered on their faces.
"What's up?" Gabriel asks when Alice and company get within hearing range. Alice flushes and swallows.
"I think you still have my textbook from yesterday." she mumbles, shooting a glare at the snickering pair behind her.
Gabriel reaches into his book bag and fishes out a pristine Chemistry textbook. He hands the book to Alice with a sheepish grin. "Looks like you're right. Sorry about that." he says, rubbing the back of his neck.
Alice giggles and nods. "It's no problem, really. I just wanted it back before we go home for the weekend since it's Friday and all. Sorry to bother you."
Before Gabriel van reply, Rogue's smooth voice cuts in. "Alice, Thorn and I have to go. We've got a date. See you later, 'kay?"
Alice blinks at the couple and nods slowly. "Okay. See you, Ro, Thorn."Rogue and Thorn jog off with Alice, Gabriel, and I staring after them.
"I should probably go too. See you Gabriel, Michael." Alice says after a moment.
Gabriel and I wave as she leaves, her dark brown hair bouncing over her shoulder in gentle waves.
I look at Gabriel only to find him staring after her with a fond smile on his lips.
I chuckle. 'He's so whipped... Oh shit, so am I.'
Okay, so Rogue and Thorn are Bi and are only a couple for a little while. I gotta plan for these psychopaths.
