Today is the big court day everyone has been waiting for. Tara walked in and sat on the other side of Kenny and Toni, while Mia walked in with the CPS worker.
"Court is now in session"!
Tara lawyer stood up and began to speak
"My client, Mrs. Tara Lawson would like to sue Kenneth Edmonds, for emotional distress and not being present in the life of their six year old daughter Mia Lawson.
"Ok Edmonds attorney speak your peace"
"My client Kenneth Edmonds, did not know that the defendant has a child with him"
"Was a paternity test taken"
"Yes just recently"
"Please read the results, Baliff"
The court room got silent as everyone listed in for the results. Toni grabbed Kenny hand as the results were being read.
"The alleged father Kenneth Edmonds is not excluded as the biological father of the tested child Mia Alexas Lawson. Based on testing results obtained by DNA Analysis the probability of paternity is 99.99999%"
Toni and Kenny turned around and smiled at Mia sitting on the row behind them
"I love you" Kenny mouthed to Mia

"My client Mr. Edmonds, is willing to give her all the money she wants", but in return he ask for full custody of Mia, Lawson, and Mia last name to be changed to Edmonds.
"Bullshit!" Tara yelled
"Order in my court!, Get your client under control"
"He can not, and will not have custody of my daughter"
"Shes been with me this whole time, and I'll be damn if you think I'm paying you child support while she lives with you. We both know none of that money will go to Mia."
"Pause, Baliff has the child been living with the Edmonds this whole time, I thought she was in state custody."
"No mother of child, left the child with the father without any explaining and hasn't seen the child since.
" This has just made my decision easy, Kenneth Edmonds I grant you full custody of six year old Mia Lawson. I also grant request for a new birth certificate with the child's last name listed as Edmonds, and your name be present on birth certificate. I also deny any request for you to pay Mrs. Tina Lawson, court is adjourned. "
Kenny and Toni embraced each other, while little Mia broke free from the CPS worker and ran over to them.
"Daddy I get to stay with you now"

Toni picked Mia up and Mia wrapped her arm around her neck.
"Yay! This is the best day ever".

"Get away Tara now, I have full custody so take a nice long look because this is the last time you will see Mia. "

Me and Toni were laying in the bed eating steak and shake. Mia was in her room taking a nap. I rubbed Toni belly while she drank her second milkshake, she swears she eats for two.
