Chapter 18 - May vs Yaruichi 🔥

Minato's POV 🎃

After me, Lucas, and Kunzite got in our gym clothes, we met up with Shion. However, we didn't see May come out of the girls' locker room.

Silently wondering what in the hell is she doing in there, we waited for a few minutes. Then I saw her get teleported out of there by an Espeon.

After that happened, May hurried over and told us what happened.

I was surprised about it.

Even Lucas was too.

Then the gym teacher, Mr. Jason, blew his whistle, letting us know that class is about to begin.

"Alright, class! Today, we're having a pokémon battle! All of you will get a good grade for participating. Ea~sy points!!" Mr. Jason said, looking over his clipboard as he did so.

"Now, for our first battle is May vs Yaruichi. Head up to the center of the stadium, you two girls..." Mr. Jason instructed as he pointed over at the stadium.

As me and everyone else headed over to the bleachers to watch the match, May and Yaruichi, both, headed up to the center of the stadium as they waited for Mr. Jason to blow the whistle.

May's POV🎐

After me and the Lucario, Yaruichi, headed to the center of the stadium, I happened to realize that Yaruichi was the same Lucario that I saw when classes began last period.

Yaruichi looked pretty tough for a female Lucario like her.

But, there's something different about her...Instead of having colors of a normal Lucario, she was red, dark grey, and black.

She even has ice blue eyes.

Normal Zoroark fur (?) and eye colors.

That makes me wonder if she had a normal Zoroark for a mother and a Lucario for a father.

Or...Maybe the opposite, a Lucario for a mother and a Zoroark for a father.

As I continued thinking about Yaruichi, Yaruichi suddenly looked over at me and then smirked.

"Hey, you...I heard that your Lucario friend back there made up a rumor when he came back, sayin' that Inkishaku came over to his house and attacked him with a sword and a knife several days ago..." Yaruichi said as she shoved me roughly a little.

I suddenly snapped a bit at that commentary but I kept my cool and started to ignore her.

Lucas? "Made up a rumor"?!

Bullshit!

Lucas was not making that up!

I know this because I saw it with my own two eyes!!!

"...And you know what? I don't believe that. I think that little shit is making up lies just to draw attention to himself so others can pity him..." Yaruichi continued.

Then I got pissed.

And I mean like really pissed.

How dare she call my boyfriend, Lucas, a liar!

She may be pretty and all of that but she has NO right, what so ever! Just to talk trash about my boyfriend, Lucas, like that!!!

Then when we made it to the center of the stadium and waited, Mr. Jason blew the whistle and said "Begin!".

I came at Yaruichi and used Night Slash.

Yaruichi smirks and counters the attack using Flamethrower.

When the collusion smoke cleared, Yaruichi was gone.

Then I realized she casted an illusion on herself to turn invisible. I looked around at the floor, for any footprints or a shadow, and suddenly found her.

I attacked her with Shadow Ball and the illusion dispersed.

Yaruichi looked at me in shock.

"Peek-a-boo..." I said as I smirked.

I came at Yaruichi again, with such incredible speed, attacking her with Night Slash continuously until she felt a bit weak.

Then I finished her off using Night Daze.

Yaruichi went flying across the stadium and then crashed into the wall, groaning, as she remained there knocked out while I pumped my fist up in victory as everyone else in the gymnasium cheered and roared.

"That's what happens when you talk trash about my boyfriend!" I called out at Yaruichi before the medic pokémon came and took Yaruichi to the infirmary.

I happened to notice that I must've hitted Yaruichi pretty good and hard, because the spot where Yaruichi was slammed into (and knocked out) left a pretty big hole in the wall.

Then Mr. Jason blew the whistle and raised my paw.

"Winner, May! Loser, Yaruichi!" Mr. Jason announced.

After everyone cheered and roared even louder, Mr. Jason blew his whistle again after I headed over to the bleachers and sat next to Lucas and Shion.

"Alright! Quiet down! The two who'll be fighting next will be Shion vs Thunder! Get up to the center of the stadium, you two!!" Mr. Jason announced.

I saw Shion pale a little and suddenly looked a bit frightened.

"Hey...It's okay, Shion...You got this." I heard Kunzite say as he rested a paw on her shoulder.

Shion looked up and then smiled as she nodded.

Then she got up and headed over to the center of the stadium too.
