Glaring black eyes kept flashing through Jimin's mind making him slightly dizzy. The haunting image of the menacing crow crouched over the tree sent shivers up and down the witches spine. The hunger that bled from the bird's eyes while staring down at Yoongi was chilling.

Jimin carefully looked over his shoulder to watch the said boy. He marveled at the way Yoongi's slender fingers gently curled around stray tree branches and the way he bit his bottom lip in concentration as he tried so hard not to lose his balance. His dark hair slightly covering his tired eyes that look almost like a cat.

A small pink tongue poked out as it quickly glided across his small pink mouth. His slicked up lips turn into a gentle pout as he almost trips over a small pebble in his way.

A heavy warmth swallowed up Jimin's cheeks and traveled down to his neck and ears as his eyes followed every moment. He instantly faced front, trying his best to calm down his racing heart. He takes a deep breath as he fans at his heated face.

Why is he getting so flustered over something so minuscule? Maybe he suddenly came down with something. He probably just caught a bit of a cold. Yeah, that's totally it, it's definitely not because he imagined the way Yoongi's tongue would feel like on hi- yeah, nope, definitely not.

Jimin slowly breathed in and out as he began to calm down his flushed face and racing thoughts. His thoughts slowly started to drift back to the bird back at the village. It almost looked a bit familiar to Jimin but he would never forget something that was so eerie.

Silent curses and stumbling was the only thing you could hear throughout the forest. It was oddly quiet. Too quiet, Jimin noticed. He couldn't hear any birds flying overhead or the wind rustling through the trees. There was no wind at all, just a stale stillness that left a buzzing at the base of the witches spine.

He felt an uneasiness settle in the pit of his stomach as goosebumps traveled throughout Jimin's body. A prickling sensation on his back caused the hair on his arms to stand straight up. He felt eyes burning holes in the back of his head.

Jimin carefully snatched Yoongi's hand and looked him straight in the eyes, "We're being watched, keep moving and act natural. Just please stay close to me, okay?"

Yoongi's eyes narrowed into slits as he tightly squeezed the witches hand, "I knew something felt off ever since we walked out of the village." Fast pulsing red flashes at them pulling their attention to Yoongi's amulet that's now silently buzzing at them, "that's not good."

A snap of a twig echoed into the dark forest above causing Yoongi to press closer to Jimin. Another loud snap was heard from the opposite end of the forest. Sounds of rustling came from every which way. They felt surrounded.

Jimin felt like he was paralyzed. He didn't know where to run, it felt like it was everywhere. All he wants to do right now is to keep Yoongi safe and to get him back to the house.

A loud bang made both of them swivel their heads back to see a large beast crouched on a tree branch. Its large wings rattled as the beast took deep growling breaths. Foam leaked out of its mouth as it glared down at the two. It's body covered in feathers that oozed with blood and inky black tar. Large sharp talons scraped at the tree branch as it hunched forward. It was almost like a large bird except it had the face of an ugly scarred woman.

A harpy.

"We need to run, now," Jimin squeezed Yoongi's hand and bolted through the clearing away from the beast. Branches and vines moved out of the way for the two, trying their best to make it easier for them and harder for the harpy.

"What is that thing," Yoongi screamed out as he started running alongside the witch.

"It's a harpy," Jimin wheezed out, "We must have done something wrong because it looks pretty mad. They don't usually attack for no reason."

A sharp screech ripped through the air as the harpy took off and came diving down at them. It's taloned feet snatched at Yoongi's head, missing as the boy zigged across the forest floor.

Jimin gently grazed his fingertips along the trees as he willed the branches to reach out for the flying beast. Jimin just needs it to be distracted so they can find the chance to hide. It kept ducking ou of reach until one large branch hit the harpy's wing, letting out a shrill scream.

The harpy recovered fast and swooped down at Yoongi again, tearing up his shirt, "I need that amulet, you son of a bitch."

Suddenly, the harpy grabbed at Yoongi's shoulders, lifting him up into the air, "Jimin!" Jimin snapped his fingers quickly as vines shot out of the ground and wrapped themselves around Yoongi's legs. Its talons dug deeper into Yoongi's arms causing him to yell out in pain. The vines weighed down the harpy causing it to scream out in frustration, "heart of the moon, I need it."

Jimin heaved with anger as he shot more vines from out the dirt floor and whipped the harpy, causing it to hunch over in pain. They wrapped themselves around the beast's wings, making the harpy lose its grip on Yoongi. He was gently cradled to the ground by the vines as they gently wrapped themselves around the boy, being careful with his bleeding shoulder.

Jimin closed his eyes and breathed in and out as he tried to pull every vine from the ground to wrap around the winged beast, trapping it onto the forest floor. It kicked and screamed out in protest as its slowly being consumed whole by the shadowy vines. Jimin can feel his energy drain quickly as he is using most of it to trap the struggling beast in place.
Jimin swayed a bit as he got dizzy all of a sudden but he remained standing, never letting his guard down.

Black dots scattered across his vision as he kept his eyes on the beast in front of him. Before he could give in to the murky exhaustion, he quickly flicked his hand to the side, hearing a deafening crack as the loud cries and screams came to a still.
