~Lyle’s POV~

“Aiden ! Aiden !” The loud shaky voice of my mother rang loud in my head. “Aiden !! Get Up Now !!”

The final words that left my mother’s mouth shoot me up from my bed. Shattered glass , fallen ornaments , broken walls and fire building up from the outside of the window.

“Mom.. What is happening ?!” I asked looking around of the now slightly destroyed room.

“No time to explain , sweetheart. You need to go now and leave this place..” My mother trailed.

My eyes widened in surprise .. for what reason do they want me to leave ? “Why?” was all that I said.

“Our pack is no longer safe for you and your brother , Hence the battle that is happening outside” Battle ?!! What ?!! “You should leave and save yourselves .. continue on the bloodline , please leave .. Its for your own good .. The rogues will be held back for you by our pack ,, and I don’t know how much more they can hold them back , please Aiden .. leave .. don’t let the sacrifice of others put to nothing.” My mother stated. My heart clenched inside of me, My mother is shaking in her sobs , her composure gone , all that was kept of her was her willing and loving voice. My pack . My family . My friends . My parents , Shattering blood stained bodies for me and my brother.

Mother hugged me tightly ; as if never letting go she rubbed my back as my vision blurred through the tears trying to break loose. I hugged her back ; knowing the end of my happy and perfect life is near. I cried like a baby but to all ; I don’t care.. I was torn with things happening ; Nathan .. my elder brother came in and took my hand away from my mother.

“Aiden ! We need to go now “. Nathan said , his face with small cuts and his arms bruised. A loud growl from the outside was heard “Now Aiden !”

Mother gave me one last kiss on the forehead and said .. “You .. are both the best things that have happened to my life as well as your father’s life”. And with that ; I inhaled the sweet scent of apples and pears , only my mother has. I really want to stay but they don’t want me to. I want to stay and fight side by side with my pack, But there is nothing I can do , Im weak and useless at this point.

Once out I heard my mother’s shattering scream of pain. Me and my brother leaving was what caused her the pain. Then came out of nowhere , as we were running through the dense woods , My father , showed up with his eyes , Amber with specks of gold. It was the one that amazes me , beautiful and bright. “Follow Me boys .. hurry” He stated and grabbed us gently ; I can feel him tense up as he took hold of our hands. I choose to ignore it at the moment.

We followed him into a car , He gave Nathan the keys and all . . Nathan got in but our father told me to stay for just a few seconds.

“Don’t cry Aiden , For a nine year old your tough” HE smiled and messes my hair. “BE a man , .. You know better than to cry .. your wise and strong , brave and special” He hugged me tight. “Im sorry you have to go through this on your own son .. Im sorry .. We love you so much , both your brother and you , for us to let you go” HE trailed. I regained my composure and placed my hands on his face, He leaned in my touch , his eyes glossy with unshed tears.
