Brothers Of The Moon : Chapter 18

~Lyle's POV~

Toby , the hybrid , gave us too much information , courtesy of my specialty. He said that He was sent to kill us , but due to his cowardly attitude , He quited his mission , He also confirmed the man who is behind all the crap. Schneider.

"So Schneider is the man behind this , But why does he need a whole bunch of hybrids to kill only the two of us?" Nathan asked , leaning on the side of my desk as I work on my laptop.

"He knows we are surrounded by a large number of our kind , maybe thats the reason" I answered not looking at him.

"But He , He Himself is strong enough to kill us both , I've witnessed his powers and the strength , He is one force to be reckoned with on his own" 

"I know what you mean , but I also know that once the elder forms of vampires transfer to other fields , they weaken , big time , like that of Meister Priam's case. Schneider is of the same age as Priam , I know his system is not cut out for the field of the humans , He feeds on energy and humans have energy too , but it is not enough" 

"I know .. What do we do know to the hybrid , Lyle?" Nathan tilted his head looking at me.

I turned my gaze to his and looked at his blue eyes. The eyes that keep watching me , the eyes that are always by me."I think we should let him stay here , He is of great help to us , his knowledge of the enemy that is"

"Ok Lyle" Nathan sighed and scratched his nape. He walked towards the door and stopped on his tracks."Lyle?"

I looked at his back. "Yeah ?"

"You know what will happen next , right?"

"Yes , I know what this means, but we cannot let them ruin what weve started here" I answered.

"Your right , We should be happy by now , and not worry about it for now" 

He smiled at me and came to my side. He hugged me tight and whispered."I've promised to never leave you , to always protect you , and that I will always do Lyle.. Even if it costs me my life" My eyes widened at his words. Nathan has been there every single time of my life, When I fall , He is there , When I cry , He is my crying shoulder , When Im mad , Hes my happy bear. 

"I will never leave your side , your my brother Nate , and I will protect you with all ive got , for you are the most important person to me" I chuckled lightly as he made his way to the door."Second to Andrea that is" I spoke.

HE stopped again and looked at me over his shoulder , He smiled widely and laughed , leaving me in the office to think. What will we do when the time comes.

~Nathan's POV~

Everything stood still , only the falling of a body , from the sky to the ground below was all I heard. Schneider attacked our colony, Lyle and mine , with brute forces. His group of rogues and his group of hybrids. The clashing of the forces was a brute sound to the ears , Crying , Breaking Shattering and Growling. But all this turned silent , when My eyes landed on the only person My world , The only porpose I live. My Brother. Lyle.

"Lyle !!!" I screamed to the top of my lungs as His bpdy fell from the sky , to the ground. "Lyle!!!!

"Lyle!!!!!!" . I shoot up from my bed and sat up straight, breathing heavily with the bed covers on my lap. 

"Are you ok , Nathan?" Elizabeth sat up and scooted beside me. I wrapped my arms around her and embraced her tightly. I breathed in her scent and comfort shoot to my system.

"I just had a nightmare" 

"What about it ? did something happen?" 

"I...Lyle... my nightmare is about Lyle , He was...." I swallowed and looked at her."He was killed in my dream , and even though it was just a dream , I can still feel the fear of loosing him" I sighed and caressed her hair. I kissed her lips and smiled.

"I think you should be with him tonight , just to make sure" Elizabeth squeezed me in a hug.

"You sure ? what about you ?" 

"I'll follow soon ..." She smiled and gave me a quick peck on the lips. We stood up and changed in our clothes. I stayed in my usual attire , a blue buttoned up shirt and loose pants , Elizabeth wore her white over the shoulder shirt , actually that shirt is from me. I know Hot right ?

We walked outside the Mansion and made our way to the pack house. We were greeted by his pack members very warmly. They invited us to be with them on the bon fire. Elizabeth and I gladlly took the offer and sat there with them , as Lyle and Andrea walked to the center of the bon fire. The other members were already asleep , only a couple of persons are her , about 15 or so. I guess they are the night watch.

Lyle introduced us to the members lightly. They were fun to be around with and very fun to talk to , Elizabeth even found a new friend. We stayed like this till we finished the histories and the pack's own making. We stayed like this for the rest of the night. 

I was glad to make my fears go away. Seing Lyle's Eyes , and Feel him near me. Took it all away.

I'll never know what I'd do without Lyle. It will break my heart to loose someone as meaningful to me as him.
