3rd person pov

A week after that trip to the jewellery shop, Boruto is very nervous. He didn't know what to do after that. Sarada noticed that he tends to tense up majority of the time, so she decided for them to go out of town.

"I know! How about we go out and see Cherry blossoms later? You seem very stressed lately, so I think that will clear your mind." Sarada suggested and Boruto nodded. "If you say so. Let's go then." He said grabbing his car keys and Sarada's hand.

"Wait! We still have work! We can't just leave." Sarada said and he shook his head. "It's fine, I'll tell dad about it. We'll take our day off today." Boruto said and the couple left their workplace. The two walked to a car and they drove off to their destination.

"Where do you wanna go?" Boruto asked with his eyes still on the road ahead. "How about that river Himawari told me about? She and Cherushi went there a few months ago. They say the place is enchanting." Sarada said with her usual bright smile. "Sure, that shouldn't be too far and we'd be back by night."

"Alright! Let's go!" Sarada said while clapping her hands in excitement. Boruto released a small smile and they journeyed to their destination.

Time skip-

They arrived at the river that had cherry blossoms trees all around. It was beautiful and as Himawari said it was enchanting.

"It's beautiful!!" Sarada said and walked to the ledge near the water

"It's beautiful!!" Sarada said and walked to the ledge near the water. She touched the clear cold substance with her fingers and smiled. "It's very clean.." she said and looked around. "Of course it is, it's so clear you can see the bottom." Boruto said, stating the obvious to which Sarada giggled to.

"Well, it makes it all the more prettier." she stated. She turned her head to Boruto and smiled brightly. "It's breathtakingly beautiful. I wish we come back here with your parents." she said and then it clicked to him. This was the right moment.

His hand searched for the black velvet box in his white lab coat. When he had found it, he needed the right words to say. He took deep breaths before he took her hand into his own.

"Sarada, do me a favor and stand." He said and she obliged curiously. "What are you up to, Boruto?" she giggled. She hasn't noticed that he had already knelt down on one knee. But once she she did, her eyes were wide as saucers.

"Ah, what is this?" she asked as he retrieved the velvet box. "If it's a marriage proposal you're thinking, then yes. It is a fact that I'm proposing." He said and opened the box the revealing the ring with the heart shaped diamond.

"I've known you for about a year and a half now and we've been together for what, about 6- 7 months. It's a bit too fast, I know. But I really didn't think that through nor did I care. All I'm asking now is, will you marry me?" He finished his speech and she's taking a back.

She knew her answer.
She loves him just as much.
She's ready for that stage.
But......

She was tongue tied.

She gripped his hand tightly before she gave her answer.

"Yes." she said with a nod.
