"i'll do whatever that i can to protect them in your place..."

At the Gusion’s residence---

The sounds of daggers clashing with the sharp claws of the monsters can be heard clearly through the silence of the night. Under the moonlight, stand the other remaining Gusions backing up each other, as they are being surrounded by a group of bloody hungry monsters.

His jade-coloured eyes stared sharply at those monsters as he casts the Shadow Blade Slaughter towards its target, piercing right through the flesh of the monsters one by one. Backing him up was the figure of a man, with another Shadow Blade Slaughter imbued with his Raven-like magic, as the Raven’s feathers flutters around every time he casts his skills. The two men were standing there fighting as they protecting those who are precious to them. Not far from where they are standing now, there’s a figure of another person who’s been injured badly lying in arms of another two Gusions; Scarlet and Laison.

“Just how many of them going to come at us huh?..” Sonata pants as he keep on focusing his attacks to the monsters while looking after his little brother Hairstylist who seemed to be tired after trying to survive those group of monsters for almost two hours.

“Sonata… are.. you okay?” Hairstylist looked at his brother for a while as he tried to catch his own breath as he picking up the pace of the attacking monsters.

“Heh—I would lied if I say to you if I’m not sick of seeing these monsters been staring at us like a menu for a dinner tonight.” Sonata smirked as he cast another sword spike towards those monsters and dashed towards it, with a combo of his Shadow Blade Slaughter again and again.
The battle prolongs for another 30 minutes when the final waves finally stops. The two Gusions fall on their knees, with their mana almost completely drained.

“It’s been a long time I haven’t see the mountains of dead body of such a giant monsters…”

Hairstylist nodded, unable to utter any words as he holding down his left arm, closing the open wounds that he got from the monsters slowly with the regeneration magic. Sonata sighed and those sweats been streaming down on their face like crazy. The monsters’ dead body been piling up right in front of them, seems more than hundreds that made even Sonata to lost count of his own limits.
Laison then run towards Sonata and Hairstylist, poking their face with a childish manner while tearing up looking at his brother condition.

“Hwee--- Sonata… Hairstylist are you okay???” his face was filled with worries and a slight panic. Sonata giggles as he sat down, slowly patting Laison’s head;

“I’m fine, really. Just a little tired, that’s all. Hairstylist?”

To his surprise, Hairstylist already unconsciously resting his back at Sonata’s, while adjusting his own breathing, gently closing his eyes on the progress, silently as the night. Sonata silently murmurs,

“You did a great job, Hairstylist… I’m glad you’re here to back me up.” he smiled as he later turn his gaze towards Scarlet who’s been holding the pinkette on his lap from a distance.

“How’s she?” Sonata asked with a worried tone. Laison follows Sonata’s gaze, replied;

“Y/n… still unconscious… but we’ve managed to stop the bleeding.”

“I… see…”

“Sonata… You should’ve let us help you two just now… Look at you and Hairstylist… and… and our home----“ as Laison pointed at their home, that have been half destroyed by the monsters coming from every direction at the first wave.

Sonata chuckled at his little brother’s comments while Hairstylist just shook his head in response.

“Doesn’t matter, we can build that house once more time, but it doesn’t mean anything if any of us not able to be here when this ends right?” Sonata smiles to Laison gently, covering his own tiredness after that one hell of the fight. Laison sobbed, a guilty feeling poked his heart as he regret of not being able to help his brothers in the fight.

“Well, at least later,.. you guys have the energy to fight them for us while me and Hairstylist take a nap?” Sonata giggles, trying to make Laison feel better and hoping that he would not blame himself too much in this situation. Laison tilt his head a little, then gently wiping his own tears as he smiles, nodding at Sonata statement.

“It’s a deal okay? Next time, let me and Scar protect you— ooh—and I would like to eat a loooottttt of cheesecake when this thing is over. Ehee~” Laison replied with a childish voice, staring at both of his lovable brothers.

“Yeah, sure thing. I’ll tell Ops of course.”

Laison’s face seems to be brighten up a little, as he cheerfully imagine all of the cheesecake that he could eat later on. Sonata then gently taps on Hairstylist’s shoulder, as Hairstylist tiredly open his eyes with his blurry gaze.

“It’s not safe here. We can’t afford to be attacked again in our condition right now.”

Hairstylist nodded and walk towards Scarlet with the help of Laison to help him to walk properly. For a moment, Sonata throws his gaze to the east forest murmuring to himself;

“Be safe… Holy… Ops… You need to come back, fast…"

He once again stared at the pinkette’s figure with a warm, tender look. A glimpse of sadness can be seen clearly in his beautiful jade’s eyes.

“I don’t think I can hold them for that long, Holy…” as Sonata clenched his own hand on his heart, with a sorrowful look. Only he’s the one know what’s wrong with himself yet insists of dealing it by his own. His magic seems to be unstable after The Fall started and hiding it from being known by his brothers is not an easy task.

“I’ll… Do whatever that I can… till you can go back here with us. Right… This is the right thing that I should do--- in order to keep them safe and sound.”
